About this house rental
3 bdrm 2 bath duplex located in the historic West End district of downtown Winston Salem. This historic 1913 home has been completely renovated. Features a side porch with a view of downtown and rear deck. Convenience, convenience convenience.... Walking distance to the Arts District as well as multiple restaurants, bars and local shops. Minutes from Wake Forest, NC Baptist Hospital, BB&T Field. Includes Washer/Dryer, Cable TV and high speed internet. All of the bedrooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor so you must be comfortable with steps. We have one full bath on the main level and one full bath on the second level.

We stayed here with our kids and grandsons (including a newborn), for a family weekend in Winston-Salem. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would gladly stay with this host again. When we arrived, the ac was not working properly. We contacted the owner immediately, and he responded right away by sending an HVAC technician. Unfortunately, the unit required a replacement part and could not be repaired that day. While this was an inconvenience, especially with a newborn, we were impressed with how quickly and professionally the owner handled the situation. He kept us informed, apologized, and arranged for us to move to a neighboring property the following day. Since we already planned to be away most of the day for a family photo session, the transition worked out well. The replacement home was equally lovely and had cool AC. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for families. The large parking area easily accommodated our two vehicles. The kitchen had everything we needed, and having a washer and dryer was a great bonus. We especially appreciated the spacious walk-in shower downstairs, the bathtub upstairs for the kids, the children's bath soap, and the plentiful towels and comfy beds. The location was convenient, with food delivery available and a Harris Teeter nearby. Although the ac issue was unfortunate, the owner's communication, responsiveness, and commitment to making things right left a very positive impression.
