First Level of house, 2 Bed spacious, walkout door ,bright garden view

This 2 bedroom basement apartment worked well for us. It is in a quiet neighborhood not far from services. Share was extremely quick at getting back to us when we had questions or requests. It is a bit inconvenient that the only thermostat to control the apartment temperature is upstairs, but when ever we asked Shary was able to adjust the temperature remotely for us. We would stay her again if we find ourselves back in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this rental. The price was great and for the money, you just can't beat this. It has 2 bedrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living area and a private entrance. It was a great option for our family and we highly recommend it.

A beautiful and adorable place For a great vacation

Given the location and the excellent reviews we were expecting better quality. Since the last reviews the hosts left the house, they moved to another state. Hence, no one is there to watch the house and to make sure guests are properly welcomed. The apartment had not been thoroughly cleaned out when we arrived. We found a filthy bathroom and soiled bedsheets on the beds. Other bed linens were lying on the floor. In the laundry room, piles of soiled towels were waiting to be washed... So we started our stay by doing a lot of clean up. A bunch of other issues popped up during our stay: the hosts have put the top floors for rent on vrbo. They didn't let us know all of that before we came. The big issue is that the house isn't fit for hosting various tenants at the same time. There is only one thermostat for the whole house and it isn't located in the first floor apartment. Hence be prepared to freeze most of the time, because the temperature gets warmer much more quickly at the top floors than in the first floor apartment. Hence the heating stops running when you are still cold, or the A/C keeps running when you are already, very, cold, and you have no control on that. That was very inconvenient for us because we stayed there 5 weeks, with a baby. Also, we had no control on the door that separates the apartment from the rest of the building, i.e. only the other tenants could lock it and unlock it. Since the tenants are frequently changing, you don't know who can happen to run into your apartment. And some of them did run into our premises. The main entrance door was left unlocked in between upper levels' tenants once so any impromptu visitor could have come down in our apartment. All of this did not make our stay horrible though, because once cleaned the apartment was comfortable, and the backyard and the neighborhood are very nice. The hosts also did what they could to make up for the inconveniences but they could not do much from a distance. The main issue remained the temperature in the apartment. I think next tenants would best enjoy their stay if hosts make sure to have a professional cleaning in between tenants and to be very clear about what to expect.
