The Quintessential Cozy Maine Cottage – steps from the beach in the most beautiful location in a charming seaside neighborhood on a private road across from a conservancy area for added privacy and quiet. It is a two floor, two bedroom, two bath cottage. Lovely, well kept, updated interiors on private road with water views. Two new parking spaces recently added (2020) for easy access.
Just minutes from the city of Portland but feels like miles from any city on a private road in a lovely Falmouth Foreside neighborhood. You are a short walk to the famous Town Landing Store and 15 minutes south of Freeport Village shopping. Everything you need for the perfect vacation week. pak-n-play,beach towels/chairs, Fire pit on site.
Parking for two cars. Notify me if there will be more than 2 cars or additional guests so that I can make accommodations.
Quiet private Maine Cottage near private Beach: A week is not enough time to enjoy the beach, tour the coast, take a windjammer sail up in Camden, shop in Freeport, antique your way through the charming villages along the coast. There is downtown Portland with its Ferry boats to the islands. Visit quaint Kennebunkport, 1/2 hour to the south. Enjoy our wonderful Maine seafood restaurants. The very best adventure is to kayak along the coast. I have 2 kayaks. Even beginners can get the hang of it. At the end of the day bring the fire pit and wood to the beach for a sunset cocktail. Charming seaside neighborhood and private beach will help you get away from it all.

Cleanliness was an issue as has been mentioned in prior review. After a supposed “deep cleaning” we arrive with mold throughout shower tiles (upstairs), cobweb on lamp shades, sticky flooring etc. nothing we could not clean up but hey we paid for cleaning! Place is tired and overfilled with STUFF making it necessary to move these out of the way in order to lay out our own things from suitcase. Beds were lumpy, pillows inexcusable and bedding overfilled with pillows everywhere. Feels like you are living in an overstocked antique store with no room to actually enjoy and relax kitchen is well stocked but e writhing was stuffed into drawers for you to search and find. Air condition are not window units but free standing room units that barely cooled the place. Turbo fans were caked with dust on the blades and were insufficient. Recommend:
1. Knife sharpener please non of the knives cut
2.bug screens on all the windows please not just a few windows. Lack of bug screens prevented us from cooling the house by opening windows to establish cross ventilation resulting in need to keep the A/C units running thru the night in August.3. Please remove some furniture from the unit. It may look nice to photograph architecturally but it is not livable for 4 adults.
4. The place needs a DEEP CLEANING. We left the place cleaner than when we found it!
5. dial on gas range is loose. Any light touch to knob causes gas leak. This happed twice once with us waking to gas smell in unit: safety issue
