About this cottage rental

Cozy 1930's cottage nestled in a private cove 20 minutes from Portland and 40 minutes to Naples. The lake is fresh spring fed approximately 1X3 miles. Amenities include hot tub, 2 adult kayaks, 2 children’s kayaks, 2 paddle boards, gas grill, picnic table, hammock, and dock. Small beach area with fire pit. Internet is available, flat screen TV with DVD player and movie library. Bring your own towels and bedding. Also please observe the Windham Maine leash law.

This was a truly prime location for a lake house vacation, and the house was fine, though I am not truly sure that the value was worth the price. Upon arrival you make the beds with the sheets you've brought from home and at the end of the vacation, you can look forward to laundry. The cabin was sweet and quaint, though it was tough for my parents to join as most of the steps outside and inside of the house were not consistently spaced. The house didn't seemed to have been cleaned much before we came as the garbage can was full, there was a melting stick of butter on the table, and a used bar of soap in the shower.

We had a great time. The weather was beautiful and the lake was quit during our stay. The new Hot Tub was awesome!!

Off-season enjoyed the quiet. Important to know it is a three season cottage but nice propane stove. Shower a bit rustic and stairs a bit steep so folks should be aware of that. But it all worked well for us. We enjoyed our time there.
