Lisbon Lights Apartments

Terrace, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen supplies, dining area, good location for access to tram; walkable to city center

Only one thing - one needs to be careful when walking in the apartment’s main hallway because a small utility box juts out enough to catch your head or shoulder if you’re not paying attention. Some hazard tape around its edges would make it more noticeable as it’s the same color as the wall and just blends in, making it unnoticeable.

I loved the outside space, in terms of it being an oasis of calm and nicely laid out with pots and white washed walls. We were able to have the option of being in the shade or the sun with provision of the shade. We ate and talked and read outside in this space and did not use the dining area or sitting room. I loved being able to sleep with the window open at night and felt secure. The location was fabulous being round the corner of the best preserved old street I've seen out of what I've seen in Lisbon.

The outside furniture to sit on at the table badly needs replacing. There was no paper/leaflet information provided of places to see in the apartment which was highly unusual. But then, I did not contact the host for information which might have been forthcoming.

Really straightforward getting in: code for the main door and then another code for the apartment key box. Details both provided by Hugo, our very communicative host. Apartment very comfortable, and really lovely to be able to walk out on to a terrace (at the back) to relax, in the sun. Supermarket (good range of wines, cheese, etc) just around the corner. Famous No.28 tram barely 100m away. City centre very walkable. Restaurants and cafes nearby too.

The acoustic insulation wasn't brilliant between the apartments. The street could also have done with a little TLC. A bit of litter and construction work, but don't let that put you off.
