Amazing and calm

Good location but not so good facilities and personnel

Unfriendly hostess. Booking.com states they speak English but they only talk in German even when you say you don’t understand. House was dirty (spiders in every corner) when we arrived. Hostess expects we clean the entire house before we leave, because she has “no time for cleaning”, explaining why it is dirty. She also suddenly wants us to have everything cleaned the evening before at 19:00 because she has no time for it herself before the next guests arrive. Also she will check and otherwise we will be fined 80 euros? This is literally stated nowhere and is also really offensive since we are always really clean people. Additionally, they entered the room while we were away and then they complained we didn’t keep the apartment spick and span and did not even provide new toiletpaper or clean towels and also said we left out too many dirty dishes. Side note: We only got 1,5 roll of tp and 2 towels pp in 10 days and the dishes were already semi-cleaned/washed off so no dirty food residu on it attractief flies/smelling or whatsoever. Furthermore, the site states we have to leave before 11:00 but she says we have to be out by 9:00 because that is when the next guests will be arriving. We were already planning on leaving at 8:00 so no problem but just ask instead of commanding? This also means: we go out and immediately the next guests go in (guess that is why she does not clean te herself?). I don’t even know if she will put clean linnen on the beds then? Before we arrived we also tried contacting the accommodation through email (3 times) and phone (about 10 times) and were never able to get hold of them/get anything but an automatic reply saying: “it is very busy but we will look at your concern and get back to you.

The stay was relaxing in a very peaceful and calm area. We were in natural surroundings.

The property was next to the forest, e.g. the nature reserve Blindensee. In 10 minutes by car you were in the center of Schonach and could buy breakfast there. The host was very friendly and the room was clean and was very well equipped.

You should know that there is poor mobile reception, just Wi-Fi from the property. For mobile reception you have to drive about 5 minutes near the city.

Wir haben uns sehr, sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt!

Wie im Film! Wir sind am 26 Dezember angereist. Es war bereits dunkel, es hat geschneit, auf dem Weg begegnete uns schon ein Reh und drumherum ist einfach nur Natur! Sehr beeindruckend. Eine nette Begrüßung durch die Eigentümerin (persönlich+ Weihnachtsplätzchen und leckeres Getränk auf dem Tisch ) Die Wohnung ist absolut sauber ( duftende Bettwäsche und Handtücher). Man geht vor die Tür und kann los wandern. Das Haus steht quasi mitten in der Natur.
