Villa Gayac

This was an excellent holiday Villa, it felt luxurious, facilities were great, lots of space and the pool was absolutely fantastic. We really enjoyed being able to explore the area, going into Bordeaux, trips to the coast with plentiful beaches and loved the lake beaches with young children. Thank you Claude and Sandrine, the Villa is a credit to you.

An absolutely stunning villa with the most amazing outdoor area, the pool was perfect and the children had the best holiday. Claude and Sandrine were the most accommodating hosts, extremely friendly and helpful and met us at the villa on the first day to show us around and greeted us with the most delicious and generous welcome hamper. The villa was very spacious and comfortable and we really enjoyed exploring the local area, we would highly recommend the market at Arcachon, the beach there and the dune du pilat (Europe's tallest sand dune) - quite a climb but absolutely worth it once you are at the top. We also spent the day in Bordeaux, we got the train from Pessac and then used the trams to travel around the city, there is plenty to see and a day wasn't really long enough. The children loved Aqualand and we spent the whole day there using the flumes. We visited some lovely restaurants and would highly recommend Le Comptoir de Cayac (my fave!), Le Domaine des Tentations and Ragazzi de Peppone. We also had takeway pizza delivered one evening from La Piazzetta, which were lovely and cooked a BBQ one evening using the amazing outdoor cooking area. Lots of local hypermarche nearby and plenty more to do, we just ran out of time. My only other recommendation is to take plenty of mosquito repellent as we did get bitten, but Claude and Sandrine have plenty of indoor electric plug-ins to help. We also brought a large citronella candle for the outside table when we were eating outside in the evenings. Most definitely a 5 STAR ***** villa. We cannot wait to return. A very warm welcome. Good and clear tour of the beautiful villa which was fully equipped. Very luxurious, clean and large. There was even a welcome package with delicacies ready and our kids had also been thought of. Everything was very cordial and you felt right at home. A sublime start of our holiday! We stayed 2 weeks and is recommended for everyone. We, one seen with 2 young kids, had a great time. Beautiful house, garden and pool. Neatly cared for and a warm feeling.

The accommodation was fabulous. The hosts were very welcoming and arranged for some food and drinks for when we arrived. The location is in a nice quiet residential area. Easy assess to everywhere. 👌

There were a lot of mosquitos ! So do take some sprays and creams with you !!
