Beachside Backpackers

Tenants are friendly and manager is very helpful. Very co-operative in term of providing a silent night on the pre-race day that’s really a full recovery prior to race day. Nice housemate. Will invite you to join pool game, sometimes have free pancake in the morning! Everyone is cool and nice there! The helper name Yuko (if I remember correctly) and Leo are so nice.

The pillow too soft. Maybe can improve a bit.

Staff were unreal!!!

I had the best time at Beachside Backpackers!! But the best part was the amazing staff!! I had the most intense table football game of my life with Maisie and Georgia!!! And the other night Emma taught me how to do crochet, which was also a lot of fun!! Some really nice people and activities there - i can only recommend it!!

Nothing.

Lovely hostel, many young people in their 20s for a long stay, many activities at night, friendly environment. Just 10 min walk from the beach and main streets.

Too many cockroaches in the kitchen and dining area. They do their best to keep it clean, but at 7:30 a.m you can find the cooking area moving. Me and another guy, we found some in the bedroom next to the kitchen ( one was in his bed). Not a big drama, but they should put a bunch of traps to poison them to reduce in a week the amount. Other than that, it could be easily a 5/5 old style hostel.
