Managed the trick of maintaining the essence of its 16th century origins with all facilities you might want and need. Guests are given keys and then trusted to get on with it. Breakfast, communal, generous beyond expectation, fruit cheese charcuterie (avoidable if veggie!), juices, unlimited coffee served in silver pots by the patron, again with elegant restraint.
The bed, good and wide, a bit plasticky, ditto bedding. But the room itself charmingly furnished and shower huge, unlimited hot water…
