Our stay was fantastic! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town center. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We absolutely loved the great pool area. The owners were wonderful and made us feel so welcome. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely family-run hotel with spotless rooms, delicious homemade breakfast, and a fantastic host!

Absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel is run by a lovely Greek family who made us feel at home from the very first moment. Our host, Stelios, went above and beyond — giving us recommendations for beaches and places to visit, also where to eat that were better than anything Google could suggest. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and prepared with so much care, with strawberry marmalade home made by grandma, and tea leaves picked up in the mountains. Everything was spotless, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the hospitality was truly genuine. Everyone, especially Stelios, was super polite, kind, and attentive — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

A peaceful oasis to salve a weary travellers soul

This is an oasis, run by wonderful people, who make every effort to assist you to enjoy your stay. The pool area is lovely, with beautiful trees and planting all around. There is an olive grove at the back of the property. In my opinion I think it would be hard to find better hosts in all of Greece than Stelios and his family. For instance the breakfast that you can buy there is amazing. It is fulll of home grown/ made products (yoghurt, honey, jam, etc). The rooms are very comfortable with a lovely little balcony. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and 7-8minutes into town. It is a must stay location if you are going to Plakias. A very relaxig, comfortable, and enjoyable stay

Great stay at the Plakias - try it.

Very cozy, family hotel with beutifull garden, swimming pool. Great place for relax. Owners Family make everything you feel like home. Good localization with walking distance to the beach, mountains, market and downtown. Clean and fresh rooms and delicious breakfast (extra paid). You can really charge your batteries here:) and feel the spirit of the Crete. Thnak you very much.

Excellent breakfast and very friendly host. Spacious room and regular cleaning. Nice pool area outside. Good location, a couple of minutes walk from the sea and the town centre. Plenty of parking space.

Room could be slightly more modern, especially the kitchenette area including pots, plates, cuttlery etc.

A clean and comfortable apartment to stay in.

We have stayed at Irida several times previously so we knew what to expect. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. There is a Spar supermarket next door which stocks everything you will ever need. The beach is a short walk away.

It's all a bit of a lottery in terms of what crockery and cutlery you will have in your room. Not a problem if you don't self cater. We go out for our evening meal so the implements we had available for breakfast and lunch were sufficient.

Family business - you feel it.

Everything. It’s so familiar. Located near the beach, by foot. There is a pool with a bar, where you can have freddo cappuccino or a beer etc. recommendation, book a breakfast. Every apartment has a balcony and a kitchen. Cleaning every day. You can reach the city with all the different taverns in less then 5 minutes by foot. Really enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable, friendly, very clean, nice balcony , good bar, very flexible owners , not too crowded, got personal service , bar prices very reasonable , allowed to occupy room until departure, good book drop , nice people in a great location. Cost of room rental very fair, free safe car parking on site .

It's a very well appointed room. Above all else and very importantly the bed was super comfortable. It's also in a good location and parking is on site. They even had a bread knife always a good sign.

Travelled as a family with two teenage children so had two rooms for a very reasonable rate, which isn't always easy to find. The owners were really friendly and helpful. Location was great, next door to a supermarket so we could purchase our own breakfast and lunch items which we made up in our rooms. Bakery a short walk away too and the main town a ten minute walk. The beach was around 5 minutes away too. We enjoyed using the pool at the end of each day, which was clean and big enough. Plenty of sunloungers available. Daily house keeping was welcomed. Clean rooms, spacious and good bathroom.

Simply wonderful, if we ever travel again to Crete we know where to stay already!

The host is simply amazing. Lovely lady who took great care of us, prepared delicious meals and even found a way to pack our lunch to take with us to the beach! Any requests were always fulfilled, she and her family went beyond to make sure that we are happy and satisfied. I can recommend 110%

4 nights in very windy Plakias

The owners are pet lovers so 10 out of 10 for that. One of the cats spent a whole evening snuggling up with me, watching TV. Lovely, freshly renovated bathroom. On the small side, but just fine for one. Great pool area, catching the sun all day which some guests did, I went to the beach which you can walk to. I had a car and was glad for it. Great supermarket and tavernas in the village.

The place is on one of the main roads leading into Plakias so obviously traffic noise. Definitely bring earplugs if you are suseptible to noise. The kitchen lets this place down in my opinion. It looks tired. A rusty fridge (outside only), a kettle you need to keep your finger on the button so it boils and a broken lid which comes off in your hands, no cereal bowls, chipped mugs, etc. I have never met a more unfriendly, surly looking cleaning person in all my times in Crete. I would say Kalimera and at best she would mumble some response. Very unusual.

Super nette, zugewandte Gastgeberfamilie. Besonders gutes und üppiges Frühstück an der frischen Luft. Der Garten vor neben und hinter dem Hotel war sehr liebevoll angelegt. Wünsche zu äußern war unbedingt möglich und sie wurden erfüllt. Ich kann dieses familiengeführte Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Einzig die Matraze war zu weich.
