The locals use the word limin’ as an expression for hanging out. The word is associated with sitting under a lime tree or having nothing more demanding to do than squeezing limes. In honor of this local vernacular, we painted our home lime green and named her Lime Time. We hope during your stay here, you embrace this laid back attitude – it’s Lime Time!
Lime Time is a West Indies style home with high open beamed ceilings and splashes of Caribbean colors on the inside to invite you to come limin’. Lime Time is a private two-bedroom, one bath cottage nestled just above Coral Bay with both water views and valley views. From the deck, you will enjoy cooling trade wind breezes, see spectacular sunrises over the water, a rainbow in the valley after a rain shower, the ruins of a windmill constructed in the 1700s, and very little light pollution for incredible stargazing. The kitchen and living space are open concept with tons of counter space making it feel spacious and allowing ample room to cook, eat, and relax. There is a table for 6 both inside and outside and a full kitchen in case you just want to grill out and lime out. On the back deck is a hot tub and outdoor shower – both private yet with a view! Lime Time is perfect for a romantic getaway, for two couples, or a family of 4.
To add to your comfort, the cottage has battery backup should the island loose power. You are a half a mile away from the heart of Coral Bay - Love City Market, Lime Out, Johnny Lime, Jolly Dog, etc. And just a mile away from the famous Skinny Legs and Rhumb Lines!
Rent a Jeep as some of the best beaches require high clearance and are not paved. About 1/3 mile of the road to Lime Time is unpaved.

Love the Coral Bay Area

We were two couples (one couple has been to St John many times). This cottage is one of the most well appointed houses we have stayed in in Coral Bay. The owners really did a beautiful job renovating this cottage; the kitchen supplies were really nice, bedding comfortable and enough beach supplies. The highlight though is the outdoor shower where you can look at the stars at night or enjoy the view of the entire valley while you shower!

Lime Time was a perfect location for us. We loved sitting out on the deck bird watching and the view was incredible! The house had everything we could possibly need. Location was great in Coral Bay. It was very peaceful! St. John is an amazing place!

Our family of 4 (kids age 2 & 5) took our first long distance trip together to Lime Time & it was perfect for us. It's a small house but just the right size for our group. The 2 bedrooms are very close together so we could hear the youngest in the morning without use of a monitor. The 2yo slept in our travel (small) pack & play in the bedroom with the 5yo.We didn't spend much time at the house, but when we did we were on the porch. The stars on a clear night are incredible. In the evenings the kids loved the hot tub. The house doesn't have a bathtub, so our 2yo was introduced to the outdoor shower. She wasn't a fan, but the rest of the family was.The island experienced several repeated power issues upon arrival and though occasional power outages are expected, this was unusual. We found the house could use more batteries/better emergency light sources. Otherwise the house is clean, well-equipped, and brightly decorated. We cooked at the house for breakfast and several dinners. We used the house cooler & chairs for the beach. A mesh beach bag came in especially handy for our snorkel gear. The pool noodles were helpful when snorkeling with the kids. Thanks for a great trip full of fun memories!
