Petroto

We had a wonderful stay at Petroto! The owners were absolutely amazing—warm, friendly and incredibly hospitable, while still giving us our privacy. The dinner prepared by the lady of the house was exceptional and definitely worth having. Everything was delicious, but I cannot recommend the chicken pie enough (and honestly, any of the homemade pies you can get!). The hotel itself is beautifully built in the traditional Zagorian architectural style, which really adds to the experience and gives you that authentic feeling of Epirus. A truly lovely family-run place. We can't recommend Petroto enough!

There is no AC so it can get somewhat hot at noon during a heatstroke in the summer. You have to make sure you close the windows so the heat from outside doesn't come in. The hotel itself is made of stone so it is pretty well insulated, it was never unbearable inside, only slightly uncomfortable during the midday. However, at night it always cools down and sleeping with a fan was absolutely no problem for us.

Everything : location, interior design, rooms, food and above all staff

We loved the location looking out over the lush valley towards snow capped mountain. Sitting on our balcony listening to the birdsong. Very peaceful and tranquil setting

Good location in a quiet village with nice views.

- There is a small kitchenette in the room (as advertised), however no pots, pans, plates or cutlery. If you want to cook you have to carry all your kitchen utensils with you. - At first, they wanted to give me a room on the ground floor, directly next to the guestroom of the restaurant. Only after insisting, that I had a confirmation for a room with a balcony, I got a room on the top floor. - Nice, helpful staff, but limited English. - Worn-out mattress (you can feel every single spring)
