Clean and tidy, my bedroom was excellent and the staff were fantastic, this was my second stay at the hotel and both times excellent.
I had one meal in the hotel restaurant and although it was good I didn’t think it was worth the price which was quite expensive.

Central hotel full of old school charm.
Plenty on offer at breakfast, seated in a lovely area overlooking the bay with an option to seat in or outside.
We had a basic room which was really nice, plenty of space with a comfortable bed with lovely bedding.
Housekeeping daily.
We had a candle light celebration meal in the Bellevue restaurant which is located on top of the hotel, this is a covered terrace and each table had a tall freestanding heater which kept us toasty and comfortable in the cool late October evening.
We also ate one lunchtime by the pool side restaurant, again very nice.
So close to the centre of Sorrento just a 5/10 minute walk

Great location & it offers stunning panoramic views of the Sorrentine Peninsula and Mt. Vesuvius, which created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The Mediterranean-style décor is beautiful and tastefully done, adding to the overall charm. There are plenty of lovely spots around the property to sit, unwind, and take in the incredible scenery - definitely one of the highlights of the hotel.
While the location of Capodimonte Hotel is undeniably stunning offering breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius—the overall experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the price.
The service was adequate but impersonal. Staff, particularly the waiters, seemed to be going through the motions rather than creating a warm or welcoming atmosphere. On one occasion, we felt rushed and even received a rude response when we took a bit of time deciding what to order, rather than being offered guidance or suggestions. For the premium price we paid, we expected a much higher level of hospitality and attentiveness.
Another letdown was the lack of basic amenities, no complimentary water in the room, which felt like a surprising oversight for a hotel in this price range.
In summary, while the views and location are truly exceptional, the overall value for money isn’t there due to underwhelming service and lack of thoughtful touches that should be standard at this level.
