We had such a fantastic stay at the Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The property itself is stunning!
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the outstanding service — especially during breakfast. The breakfast spread was delicious and offered a wide variety of options, but what stood out most was the incredible attentiveness of the service team, Aslam and Vikram. They were courteous, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their warmth and professionalism made each morning feel special and personalised. Monu and the team went out of their way to make our family members’ birthday surprise so special.
Every detail throughout our stay reflected care and excellence. I couldn’t recommend the hotel more - highly recommend!

Great location, ambiance and friendly staff.
Access to the hotel is a bit challenging with an overcrowded city to go through

Everything from check in to staff, food, restaurants, was excellent! Property was excellent!
Nothing to not like. However, I was not aware during my hotel booking of the extra $700 I had to pay just for NY EVE dinner celebration at the hotel.

It’s an old palace. Very authentic classic buildings.
The event organized by the property during the evening and the morning breakfast could be a lot better than this.

Beautiful and well maintained but what made it exceptional was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They accommodated our request for a small heater and did everything to make us comfortable.

From the moment we arrived, the service at Jai Mahal Palace was nothing short of impeccable. Our room, situated on the ground floor, featured a charming private terrace — the perfect spot to unwind amidst the tranquil surroundings.
Breakfast was an elegant affair, offering both à la carte and buffet options; the lassi and dosa and accompaniments were, without question, among the finest we enjoyed anywhere in India. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful inclusion of caloric information for each dish, allowing us to indulge mindfully without the usual guilt.
What truly set the experience apart, however, was the hotel’s extraordinary attention to detail at departure. Early morning check-outs often spell disaster for takeaway breakfasts, yet Jai Mahal excelled. We were handed two exquisitely packed boxes, brimming with an array of delicacies and refreshments — more than ample for our journey. To top it off, our request for takeaway chai was met with a delightful pot, kept perfectly warm under a tea cosy, served with delicious cookies.
The level of care and consideration throughout our stay was simply exceptional. Jai Mahal Palace embodies the very essence of perfected hospitality

Hairs in the bath. Hairs in the food. Room service delivered incorrect order. Uncomfortable beds. We checked out two nights early.

A lovely palace right in the heart of town. The Topaz suite was massive and luxurious. The second room with a beautiful latticed partition was very spacious too. The small touches - amuse-bouche, a shikanji, macaroons were well appreciated. The staff were top notch in terms of knowledge, service orientation and demeanour - that’s the Taj seal!

The entire palace is breath taking. The pictures of the royal family around every corner of the palace truly reflects royalty and makes you feel that you are in their presence only. The palace tour and evening cultural performances are really remarkable and make the overall experience fulfilling.
We really loved our dinner at Cinnamon. The food, the ambience and the chef coming to us for a personal feedback was truly a remark of top notch hospitality. However, the options for in-room dining could be better.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly.
Service and food particularly good in Giardino.
Disappointed we were not informed before our stay that the pool is closed, as that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. We were offered to visit the pool of the other Taj hotel but obviously this is not very convenient.
Also we wanted to have a drink one evening sitting at the beautiful tables on the lawn after returning from a long day sightseeing. We sat for about 15 minutes. No one came to see if we would like something. I then went inside to ask one of the members of staff if we could have a menu. He said he would send someone out. Another 10 minutes and nobody arrived. We went back to our room. Walked by the man who we had asked for help and there was no recognition or apology. Not what I would expect in a 5 star hotel.

Amazing property and location. Peaceful, calm and very nice location. It was my wife’s birthday on 15 Aug and I requested for a small decoration. In room along with a cake and they made it happen even with a very short notice. That really helped to give a memorable moment for the family. Would specially like to thank Surender who helped in making that happen.

The staff was courteous and went the extra mile for their guests. The food was brilliant
Swimming pool was being upgraded and other fitness and games facilities were good but there was definitely room for improvement. The staff definitely made up for it but the infrastructure needs to improve.

Great place, neat, rooms were very clean and ready. Truly great value.
There are some bookings where breakfast is not included. We were not aware of that (neither on Booking.com/I missed it) - it would have been nice to include breakfast to keep the complication down.

Staff are incredible. Breakfast is amazing and lots of choices to eat. Pool was being renovated although they gave us access to a sister hotel pool which was fantastic!
Property and rooms seem a little outdated and old compared to others. The aerosol spray or perfume sprayed in the reception smells really bad and gives me an allergic reaction (Rambagh Taj and other hotels smell like fresh flowers). Rooms need to be updated as they are old. Much better properties in Jaipur for the same price point.

The room was large, well-appointed and quiet. The breakfast buffet was the best we have experienced in India, with wonderful options for vegetarians - including exquisite pastries. All the staff was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They helped with tour bookings and more. The Holi celebration at Jai Mahal Palace was unforgettable - so much fun! And the Holi buffet lunch was fantastic! We also thoroughly enjoyed the food and staff at the Italian restaurant on site and the evening music and dance performances. Although we haven't actually planned to return to Jaipur, I am tempted to go back just to stay here again! AND KUDOS to Md. Raees Khan, the bansuri flute master at breakfast who jammed with my husband on the duduk, much to everyone's delight. Our stay here was one of my best memories in India over decades.
No complaints!

Really lovely hotel, made all the better by the absolutely wonderful staff, with particular call outs to Mansi, Chef Pradeep and the best hospitality person ever, Vikram, who looked after me so well. The grounds are large, well kept and fantastic, the rooms are also large, the bed super comfortable, and the service, from everyone, impeccable. Really felt like I was staying in a palace which, given you're in Jaipur, simply escalates the experience. And whatever you do, don't go past the Pain au Suisse at the breakfast buffet - simply the best piece of pastry I have eaten in a long, long time, and still kicking myself for not having discovered it on my first morning!!
The only downside is the plethora of noise which could have been due to the situation of my room - I've read other reviews suggesting trying to avoid the 341-346 rooms due to 'unexplained, continuous noise'. For me, it sounded like some sort of machinery on cycle (possibly connected to housekeeping) coming from the ceiling/roof space - but then there's also the noise that comes about from having tiled walkways vs carpeted - the rebound sound off the walls is real. The hotel can't help noisy guests - particularly the ones you have to get up for at 1am because they've decided to have a debrief of their night outside your room - but, having asked for a quiet room, wondering if the request was either not available, or if there is simply no real quiet available.

We had a fabulous stay at the Jai Mahal and would definitely recommend it! We were given a newly renovated suite (we were the first guests since the renovation) which was perfect for our family of 4 (2 rooms with ensuites plus common areas). The suite was truly regal and splendidly furnished, we could really feel a little bit like Maharajahs! Professional and courteous staff, always polite and smiling, excellent breakfast and food in general (Mr Aslam will make anything happen!), spacious grounds, great atmosphere at breakfast with the flutist and at dinner with the dancers and musicians. The Palace is a calm, peaceful, luxurious oasis in the middle of bustling Jaipur, where we were happy to retreat after a day of exploration. Thank you, we hope we can visit again some day!
If anything, at times, some younger members of F&B staff seemed in need of a bit more training (but we noticed that the fantastic and very experienced Mr Aslam was keeping an eye on them and addressing this so that it would not happen again, we guess). But this is nitpicking, to be honest. Again, we had a fantastic time, would recommend the hotel and would go back in a heartbeat!
