Perfect location. Easy to get to France and Switzerland with train.

Location was excellent just outside the main train station of Geneve. The staff was really friendly. Hotel was nice and clean. The room was very spacious and very quite.

Although it was listed that we should have had an oven in the kitchen, we didn't have. Instead of it they put a mini fridge although there was another fridge already. I would have been convenient for us to have an oven.

Just checked out. Didn't want to stay here due to low reviews, but I'm very glad I did! Reception team, especially Alain, were awesome Will def be back next time in Geneva

Nice and comfortable stay.

I booked the room with kitchen and it has been really comfortable. However, coffee machine is not working. Cleaning staffs are inconsistence in arear they intended to clean or not do it. Somedays, the room and kitchen were neatly clean and other days not. Location of the hotel is super convenient to go around and between cities because it's just within reach to the central station. I am coming to stay again in a week time. Hope I have similar or better experience. Oh, Thanks for sharing the city transportation ahead of time so I can use it right away from the airport.

I like to see more of the consistency of cleaning process and mindful of hidden dirty spots. It will be helpful if staff tell us what we can expect from the services.

I booked "Superior Double Room with Kitchenette" but I was disappointed to see the room which was given to me it was an small old room which was not at all like beautiful images of such room shown in booking.com website. The the size of the room was smaller then the size mentioned.

Comfortable, clean, professional and super convenient hotel in Geneva!

The value of, location and convenience was great for our trip. It it literally right next to the train station that connects you to the rest of Switzerland . There is not even a street between the two. However, after this trip weWILL NOT be using BOOKING.COM again😡 Contact Hotel Montbrillant directly, or use anther travel service.

Inefficient reception - took some time to check in, cleanliness of the room very poor, noise in the early morning from the rooms above, cleaning done only after I told them 2 times , bathrooms are old and no shower rooms, only bathtub

We were orignally sent to a room which hadn't actually been cleaned and had other people's rubbish, unmade bed etc... we went downstairs and they sent us to a different room but they weren't terribly apologetic about it.

I was there for 4 days attending a conference, and the hotel suited my needs very well.

Excellent location. Close to bus station/train station; walking distance to the lake. My room faced away from the road so didn't get traffic noise (but didn't get a view either) Staff all very helpful and friendly Bed was comfortable - mattress not too soft!

Only had breakfast once - I think a little expensive (but probably in line with prices in Geneva - which is expensive). You have to eat a big breakfast to make it worthwhile Room was on the small side - but fine for a single person. It felt expensive but again seemed in line with prices in the area. Certainly not exorbitant compared to other accommodation

Stay away

Nothing, rooms look nothing like the photos on booking.com. I immediately called booking.com to inform them. They were unable to help as the manager was away. I also didn’t feel safe so i left property for a new hotel, i never spent a night given the circumstances. I was never refunded despite my calls.

I had a studio room which has a special entrance behind the hotel, where all the drunks hang out. It was unsafe as there was no one working there. Rooms did not look like the photos shown on booking.com nor did it have the amenities promised.

Good city venue if using public transport

Good accessibility to public transport, especially the train station next door. Efficient soundproofing. Good sized room. A good range of restaurants within easy walking distance.

The air conditioning wasn't working initially. Breakfast choice at My Martine (adjacent to the hotel) was significantly better than at the hotel. There was no electric socket near the bed.

The hotel is just next to the train station. The staffs are very kind and helpful. The kitchen-ware is adequate to prepare dinner.

Bonus little find near Cornavin station

Booked this hotel very last minute and wanted something close to the main train station. At first I wasn’t sure where it was and didn’t recognise it from previous visits but it is literally a few steps away! Really enjoyed my stay here! You are amidst the hustle and bustle of other travellers and have the noise from nearby trains when the windows are open but it really wasn’t a problem. The café/bar downstairs, Oh Martine, was fabulous, serving great food and drinks with its tables spilling out onto the terrace. I really couldn’t fault it. It became a little noisy when a group had congregated right by the station entrance but they soon moved on. I had a Single with Kitchenette which was situated in the Studio and it had everything I needed and more. The room was large and the single bed was more like a king and was very comfortable. Even had a glimpse of the Jet D’Eau from window! Bought food and drinks from nearby Coop and prepared them in room. I felt safe as a Solo traveller and would stay again.

Don’t expect luxury if booking a room in the Studio. If I have to say anything it would be that the room needed updating. The furnishings were old and dated but you get what you paid for.

Clean, well located hotel but the hotel itself is quite dated.

The location of the hotel is excellent, so easy to get to/from the hotel, the air-conditioning worked really well, I didn't eat in the restaurant but I walked by several times and the food looked rather good. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean.

The hotel is "tired" and needs an overhaul. The rooms still use traditional keys as opposed to key cards. That prompted an issue when a key was misplaced at reception. The lift is old. The bedroom carpet was old and stained, some of the wood in the bathroom had rotted after what I presume is years of repeated exposure to moisture, the television in the room next door was positioned right by my head - so I could "enjoy" their television viewing (at least the audio!) when I wanted to sleep. And I was surprised to find no power sockets near the bed. That said, I appreciate that it is difficult to refurbish a hotel - especially one so excellently located - as it is in constant use.

Very attractive hotel, great location and access. So easy to get to from the airport. Just near a main square, but situated on the “quieter” side of the train station. Very nice and helpful personnel and comfortable room.

Rooms might seem small (but definitely within reason), some windows just face the inner courtyard walls, which was not an issue for me.

We had an annex apartment toilet door would not close / shower tray hanging off the wall / keycard to power room would not stay connected had to push plastic in it to hold the card in pace for lights to work.

Great stay and place

I had a short but very comfortable stay at Hotel Montbrillant, Geneva. The location is truly unbeatable—right next to the main train station and within walking distance of all the key attractions in the city. A special shoutout to the gentleman at the reception during the day (apologies for not catching his name). He was exceptionally polite and courteous. We had driven down, and the hotel parking was a bit away from the main entrance. Despite having the map, I struggled to find the parking spot. He went out of his way, got into my car, guided me to the correct location, and even walked me back to the hotel. That level of personal attention and kindness made an impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Geneva—especially for those looking for convenience, comfort, and great hospitality.

One area that could use improvement is the buffet breakfast. It was a bit underwhelming and didn’t quite match the otherwise high standards of the hotel. I hope the management looks into enhancing the variety and quality, as it would truly complete the overall experience.

Location is perfect! The staff were so helpful! The room was comfortable and spotless! Great place to stay! I didn't expect so much, but boy, I was so wrong! Thank you for being so great and making my first time in Switzerland and Geneva unforgettable!

Was more like 2/3 star stay.

The bar and lobby were lovely. The staff could not do enough for us while we stayed. Food was good too.

The carpet of our room had stains on it. The room was not up to expectation for 4 stars. The bathroom was poor and to step into the shower it was quite tall and a slip hazard.
