    Decent spot just out of town, bus stops right outside 5-10 minute bus ride to city stations

    Comfortable, we had a good stay, great options for food nearby. Only negative was that the car park is a bit tricky to navigate around with a large car, there are a lot of internal pillars and spaces are quite small

    On the first night, we had to move to another room because the air conditioner wasn't working properly. Although the thermostat showed 26°C, the room felt much colder, and we had to wear sweaters and cardigans to stay comfortable. The staff reset the thermostat, but we still had to pack all of our belongings and move to another room. The next morning, we were woken at around 8:00 a.m. by construction work. The tradies were banging on the walls, and there had been no prior warning about the noise, which was disappointing. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay. We love the funky atmosphere of Newtown, and it's an easy and pleasant walk to the Fish Market.

    I stayed at Rydges Camperdown for three nights, and while the location was very good and the front desk staff were cooperative, the overall experience was disappointing because of the housekeeping and room condition. The bed was uncomfortable, and housekeeping was very poor — the bed after service looked terrible, the sheets were not properly tucked, wrinkles were left untouched, and the basin area still had water marks and was not cleaned properly. Rydges Camperdown does have a convenient location near Sydney University and Newtown, and the hotel highlights 24-hour reception and other guest services, but my stay suggested the housekeeping standards were well below expectations �.
