Very comfortable, friendly hotel but restaurant food was chronic!!

The room and the staff.

The food served for dinner in the Ivy restaurant was substandard and extremely poor. All members of our group were very disappointed.

It was okay a bit of a let down

Overall very good Hotel and will use it again.

Very comfortable bed room was warm which was appreciated during the cold weather during our stay. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety for those who don’t want a traditional cooked breakfast.

The shower needed a good clean especially the black mould around the tiles and glass at the bottom. The bath towels have seen a lot of use and need replaced. A little attention to detail would give this Hotel top marks.

Quiet location.

Mutton dressed as lamb. Room was not ‘deluxe’. Doesn’t stand up to equivalents. Corridors dingy. Room furniture old and marked. Food in bar low quality.

Hotel room was as good as any 4 star hotel. Warm and comfortable. Staff at reception and at breakfast were excellent , very welcoming and helpful.

I really loved the ambience of the hotel very warm, comforting and welcoming ❤️ The room was exceptionally clean and gorgeous,I loved it ! I requested room service in the morning for breakfast but the server surprisingly asked me to pay an extra 12 euros on the spot for the room service which I wasn't informed about until that morning ! All in all I paid roughly 200 euros for one stay with breakfast at the hotel which I thought was quite expensive 100-120euros would have beer a more reasonable price 😅

Very good hotel overall

Staff on reception were super. Staff at bar restaurant were also super. Food was nice. Room was quite big overall. Rooms need a bit of updates, but overall was a very good stay.

Breakfast staff at the Ivy were not so good; had to ask twice for poached eggs, and veggie sausages; first straight up forgot to order them for me. But breakfast itself was nice.

Reaching for the stars and just about reaching the clouds

The staff were amazing. The location was great.

When i go away over night I compare everything to my home. In this case the mattress was terrible, it had a topper on the original mattress to try make it more comfortable which failed. Again basing the food on what I cook for myself at home(I am not a chef) it was average at best with very small portions. The one exception was the stew which had amazing flavour but what let it down was the quantity. Finally on how clean the room was based on my own home. The majority was clean with the exception of the windows/frames and the tile edges in the ensuite.

Plenty of space in the room and the bed was lovely and big.

Not the hotels’ fault, but we arrived in the middle of a whole load of people checking in from the airport after their flight was cancelled. The staff were struggling to cope but credit to them. Consequently, trying to get something to eat at the bar was also a time consuming effort. Well done to the staff for coping so well.

We loved the hotel, and have recommended it several people

The young chap who checked us in on reception was excellent, and his advice on how to get into Dublin City was very helpful and saved me the ordeal on having to drive in, I'm sorry I don't remember his name but his customer service was first class and we will be back.

Nice location but I will not stay there again.

The breakfast and location were good for our needs. I have stayed at the hotel several times in the past ad always enjoyed my visit.

We needed rooms as a last minute decision as our travel plans changed. When I rang the hotel, the front desk was not interested and told me to go online and book. We booked Deluxe Double rooms with breakfast. The bathroom in both rooms were 'tired', the shower screens didn't slide and the water was lukewarm at best. The hotel internet would not work in the evening, and in the morning there was a power cut. When reporting this to the checkout staff, they were offhand and not interested - as if they were used to such feedback.

I found that our room was very far from the reception and if we were to go again we would ask for a room nearer the lift as I found it difficult to walk that far!

Not a good value for money!

Room was very spacious and clean. Spa was really good.

For a 4 star hotel and for the price we paid I was expecting a better quality in general of the hotel. The hotel itself is a bit dated and we had to pay 25€ per person to have access to the spa. As other people said for that price you’d expect to get a robe or slippers not just a towel.

It was overall nice. But I would probably look elsewhere next time.

The location, the scenery, and the food in the glass house area was lovely.

I ordered a coffee but never received it at dinner. I ordered a veggie breakfast, but it was anything exceptional- a bit disappointing. The rooms appeared’tired and dated’ and less luxurious than other hotels. Also we felt under pressure to check out as the room cleaning staff knocked on the door at 11.00 am, even though check out was 12 midday.

Perfection location only 30 min drive. Hotel was lovely, very clean and the room was very spacious.

A mediocre hotel posing as a luxury destination.

The spa is very nice, albeit at an additional price.

The €25 fee to use the spa throughout our stay was excessive, given the already steep cost of accommodation. Breakfast is a buffet, and is truly dreadful low quality food, while the bar menu is shamefully expensive for equally terrible food. Two of the bars were closed on the Sunday evening, with only the soulless terrace bar open. The gym was also closed for the duration of our stay, which we should have been made aware of prior to our visit.
