We were delighted when we arrived at the Old Phuket. A "hidden" gem of a hotel. Such old world charm. So well located, friendly staff, very clean and excellent value for money. We were so pleased we had chosen it. It is always so hard selecting a hotel unseen simply using the internet. We would stay at the Old Phuket again.
The only negative was the temperature the breakfast "hot" food was served at. It is beyond understanding that the hotel has gone to the expense of acquiring up-market food servers but not using them properly to keep food hot. No one wants cooked items served at tepid/cool temperatures. Also the butter servings were completely melted and virtually liquid. All other hotels have butter kept on top of ice. Overall the breakfast was uninspiring and I wouldn't book breakfast inclusive if I stayed their again. At £11 per breakfast it seems expensive. I got no response from the hotel about the temperature of the "hot" breakfast food despite utilising their QR code suggestions system

We had an awesome stay in this resort.
We enjoyed every single day. From the pool, the breakfast buffet, to the very nice and friendly workers.
Everything was smooth.
The location is perfect in the outer part of Karon beach, where its quiet but veery close the the most busy area where you can find tons of shops and restaurants.
The breakfast buffet was everyday amazing with tons of different yummy options.
The staff was super friendly and very polite in all the different departments.
Nothing bad to say.

Very close to the sea with beautiful access to cafes, massage centers and shops. Exchange right at the exit part of the hotel. They have turkish & thai cuisine Pasha Restaurant. Tasty, budget-friendly (tell them your room number and get 15% discount)

The location was excellent with friendly guy on the entrance too and from the beach.
Breakfast left a lot to be desired. 6 weeks in 6 different hotels, this was the worst breakfast. Staff not interested. Necessary to request plates and dishes to be refilled on buffet table.
We had 2 rooms, separate days no water for showers in afternoons.
Plumbing situation needed looking into, water in sinks in bathroom took long time to empty.
