McMillans Villa 18 Metung

We LOVED our stay at McMillans and the view from Villa 18 is just beautiful. . This resort is a little piece of paradise, beautifully kept grounds, peaceful, wonderful wildlife, we didn't want to leave. The villa is well equipped and stylishly decorated older style with plenty of extra seating available for staring at the views from the deck.. The bedrooms are spacious, with the main on the upper level with a big bathroom/separate toilet, accessible as an ensuite/ or for all enjoying the upper level from access via the kitchen. Sheree, who looks after the resort is a true gem that is always available to try and assist where she can and is a wealth of knowledge on the local area. The pool area is delightful, salt water, solar heated and well protected from the wind and is next to the rec room which is something else...if we'd had kids with us I'd say we'd never get them out of there!

We had issues with the TV reception which did not work on our first night (AO fans). The TV was swapped out, promptly the next day but there were still issues with casting, streaming, etc and no free to air TV available for our stay due to an issue with the satellite connection. We managed by connecting our laptop with a purchased HDMI cable, but this needs to be sorted out. We didn't go to Metung to watch TV but it's a service expected when required. Couldn't get the bbq to heat up to a high enough temp the night we tried to use, (its electric)may need to be looked at or maybe it was the users??! Be mindful Villa 18 is at the top of the hill (which is a plus for what we think is the best view of all the villas!) and accessible by a reasonably steep drive and stairs if taking anyone with mobility issues.

Privacy and seclusion

Blinds are see through at night. Needed more coat hangers in master bedroom. Couldn’t use frypans as the non stick coating were all delaminating/peeling off

Great house for group of 8. We had a 9 night stay. Kitchen well stocked with crockery, utensils, etc Complimentary bottle of wine 🙌🏻 Great location. House nice and clean. Sheer the manager was a great help.

We had trouble with the living room TV as well as the washing machine. Sheree attended to both. Washing machine replaced. TV needed further parts for satellite connection so we had no TV.
