Located in Oceanside, on the beautiful California coast, this three-bedroom, three- full bathroom home sleeps eight and has room for the whole family! Great location, but there is some train noise. Oceanside Rocks Beachside Vacation Home offers free WiFi and a spacious yard. As a gated home, you will also enjoy free 2 car private parking. With a full kitchen and rustic dining table, feel free to cook up a storm for family dinners. There is a front yard with an outdoor dining table. Two hot tubs available upon request. There is also an outdoor shower. This vacation home is two doors down from Wisconsin Market, a favorite local spot for snacks and spirits. Your stay comes with a complimentary surfboard rental upon request. During your stay at the Oceanside Rocks Beachside Home, you will enjoy a full kitchen with a microwave, fridge and spacious family room along with a seating area and a dining area. This place had everything our family needed for a two week vacation stay. Loved the fenced yard for my pup. The house was very clean and even came complete with a Tiki bar in the front with grill. Even had 2 hot tubs! Ray was so quick to respond on anything that we asked, offered bikes, surf boards, beach stuff and fishing poles free of charge. The Wisconsin Market a few doors down was perfect along with the coffee shop. Very nice neighborhood and was quiet. The beach is less then a block away, the Harbor has shops and restaurants that do not disappoint. We will be returning soon no doubt. Thank you Ray!

We visited friends in Oceanside and were mostly out and about. This property was exactly what we needed and at a great price. Host was friendly and responsive. Everything was clean and usable, but the reason it gets 4stars is that it was sparse? Not very homey. If you plan on spending a lot of time there or wanted to cook a lot or had kids with you, it might not be as comfortable.

Before we arrived I reached out to the Property Manager to get the code for the property. He responded in a timely manner. Upon arrival of the property we noticed the hot tub had been left uncovered. Upon inspecting the hot tub we saw that it was dirty. I reached out to the Property Manager with my concerns about the hot tub and he said he would send someone the next day to get it cleaned. The next day someone showed up to take care of the hot tub. He was also very helpful in walking us through how to turn on the hot tub. When we entered the home there was a lingering smell. The house did not smell clean and fresh. Appeared as if someone had cleaned in a hurry. The photos of the home showed decorations in the house and on the walls. The walls were bare. The photos of the listing made the house appear warm and inviting. All major issues and concerns were brought to the Property Managers attention which he addressed and handled all in a timely manner. Each bedroom had free toiletries available for guests. Plenty of towels and bedding. Also, the location of the home was dead on. We only had to walk two blocks to get there.

I will start with the few positive things I have to say about this stay. 1, the location is very convenient. Walking distance to the beach and a liquor store/market. 2, the window AC units in the bedrooms get nice and cold. That’s all I can say positive about this place. When I pulled into the driveway before I could even open my car door there was a woman on the property greeting me and explaining all about the house even though it was supposed to be a contactless check in. Keep in mind we got to the house an hour and a half after the check in time so the house should have.been more than ready considering we had asked for an early check in. She explains she just finished painting and deep cleaning the house. The door is open and unlocked, laundry is currently being washed and there is no outdoor table like in the pictures. We go inside and there is no smell of paint or cleaning supplies but instead there is loose flour in the kitchen, urine in the toilet and a wad of hair in the shower. Someone else came onto the property and started doing yard work. A third person came onto the property and asked to hose out a trash can. As a group of 4 girls traveling alone to a new place, you can imagine we were uncomfortable. None of the furniture is the same as the pictures and we didn’t get an outdoor table brought to the house until we asked for it and it was completely rusted but half spray painted to try to cover it. There were multiple roaches during our stay as well.

It wasn’t like the description or the photos. The living room had a sofa covered by a sheet there was also a single bed in th me room. The kitchen cupboards were sticky and greasy. There’s was hardly any cups or glass ware and what there was was mismatched and chipped. There was black mild around the kitchen faucet and I bought five new pillows for the beds. We left a day early very disappointed

Filthy filthy house, dangerous doors access, dangerous area, directly next to loud railroad road crossing, terrible manager. Did not stay after entering this dirty dangerous home. I contacted VRBO immediately and had to correspond with the home manager Ray who would not refund. Ray was in denial even after photos sent to him, and was rude and degrading. I have photos of this despicable house that will shock you! This review does not allow to attach photos. .

Stayed here with 4 adults and three kids. Plenty of space and a bonus that it was all fenced in so kids could play in the yard. They loved the hammock and firepit for smores! Adults loved the short walk to the beach and market, coffee shop, and bar right around the corner! Would stay again!

This was an amazing property. Great location, a fence for the dogs and a short walk to the beach. The property manager, Ray is awesome. He recommended restaurants, provided firewood and even gave us fresh flowers for our birthday celebration. Pam and Kelly were incredibly helpful as well. They gave us water bottles and even ice cream! They thoughtfully provided items like toothbrushes and even earplugs for the train. Overall, my family had a wonderful experience.

This property was perfect for my family of 5, a staycation was long overdue. Very close to the water and about a half mile walk to a sandy beach. Loved the fenced in yard for our dog and kids to run around. The train was VERY loud, especially at night, but owner provided complimentary earplugs :) corner store had everything you could need and The Cup had great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Already recommended this spot to all our friends.

Even though we went in the middle of COVID, we had a fantastic time. The only downside was the trains, which were very loud. When we had any needs, the owner and Jimmie were quick to respond. The home was very clean and fit 5 adults and 3 children just fine. You can’t beat the location. We spent most of our days and nights in the large front yard. There is a gate so we could keep the grandchildren safe. Despite the trains, we will be booking our vacation here next summer!

First things first, the train was loud; in our estimation this was a good thing because we put on music/white noise for the kids and none of them were too bothered, and this place would cost double if the train tracks were not nearby. Ray was awesome, quickly took care of any items we brought up, we had 3 bedrooms to separate the kids, and there was plenty of ocean toys (boards, sand castle implements, etc.) provided. 2 blocks from a beach entrance; we didn’t drive to the beach at all, and had a great time. The hammock and green space out front was also well used. Thanks again!

I rent from VRBO very often and I’ve never given a negative review. The house is beautiful, but.... The pull out sofa bed is a disaster. No one was able to sleep on it. We ended up buying blowup mattresses. One of the bathrooms was not clean. Our cleaning deposit should have been refunded. Some of the sheets appeared not to have been cleaned. One of the beds didn’t even have sheets on it! There was no disclosure about how loud and how often that train runs. It was absolutely miserable trying to sleep. The outside chairs were very nice to have but the pockets were full of cigarette butts. It’s a lovely home, but not well equipped for visitors. No place for us to eat together. Nowhere near enough pillows or blankets for eight or 10 people as advertised. You cannot at all hear the ocean. It is close to the ocean, but not to a walk to the beach where you could actually enjoy the beach— for that you need to go down a few miles. Again, the house is great, the front yard is great (kids enjoyed playing ball), but the advertising is not accurate and there needs to be enough bedding for 8 to 10 people if that’s how the place is rented. There needs to be full disclosure about the train. It’s not just a nuisance, it’s actually quite startling. We were only there one night, but if we had to stay longer we would have likely checked into hotel rooms. House has potential to be a great rental, but needs better disclaimers and bedding. I will say bicycles and boogie boards were also available. We did not use them, but that’s a nice touch and the neighbors were very friendly and there is a comfy hammock hanging outside. It’s a busy street and your car could get towed if you park on the street, but there was space for two vehicles.

We were disappointed there were not enough blankets for the number of guests. The fold out couch was needed but is in very poor condition and made for a rough night's sleep. There is no coffee pot, the Keurig was there but without K-cups so the little coffee left in cupboard had to be rigged up by boiling water- not the best wake-up. We could not hear ocean waves as advertised and there was no mention of the train that runs by quite regular. The house appears in good condition, it was neat but could also use small kitchen table set so group could sit together. This unit has great potential if these small conveinces would be added to enhance a person's stay. They are minor fixes that would greatly improve the comfort of guests.

This house is clean and roomy. Has a great front yard to kick back and enjoy your morning coffee. The best part is the owner is very attentive and helpful with anything you may need. Located close to the beach and as a little corner market just a few steps away. Plenty of parking for those visitors that might want to come hang out. He also is equipped for beach toys for all ages. Will definitely stay here again.
