Good stay at Ao Nang

We liked everything about this hotel: our room, beds, swimming pool (particular one on the roof). Breakfast is very good with plenty to choose from. Short walk to the waterfront. We went for massage at the hotel.

One thing to notice is surroundings while you walk from hotel to the beach. They are not all that pretty as you might expect staying in such hotel. They should be cleaned and spruced up. Overall I recommend this hotel.

Great value hotel with an amazing view of the bay, two pools and helpful staff.

The view from the rooftop pool was amazing, with a large mountain to the left and the bay right in front with an incredible sunset view. And the drinks there were pretty good as well. The breakfast was above average for buffet style with many options and an omelette and egg station. The beverages were solid with a juice station with a solid espresso machine.

The breakfast pastries were all quite generic and dry and the straight coffee was not great. We ate at the rooftop restaurant once and the cost per quailty wasn't the best and the music played at the roof top bar was loud and not super relaxing.

Decent hotel

Both the rooftop pool and the other pool were really nice. A bit more crowded on the rooftop but we still got places when we wanted to. The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice.

I think the breakfast could have been better. A bit boring options when it comes to bread. Howecer the omelet station was nice. The hotel is a bit big so it takes a quiet a while to walk to your room if you are unlucky with the placement since there are not many elevators.

Swim up room worth the extra

Swim up room was a real bonus, got the sun most of the day and pool was really quiet.

Breakfast was very repetitive, we were only there for 4 nights so not a problem but could imagine if you were there for longer you’d be tired of it by the end of the stay.

Overall it was an average experience.

The location was very convenient and most of the town was easily walkable from here. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The common areas of the hotel were nice and clean. The rooms are very big and spacious and plenty of room.

This hotel is probably nice for Ao Nang but it is not close to a 5 star hotel like it is made up to be. It is nice and clean but the rooms and hotel overall seem very outdated and could use a revamp. The walk to the Ao Nang strip was also very sketchy at night. It is not well lit and we did not feel safe making the journey after dark. The morning breakfast buffet was also way too over crowded. The room is massive but we had to wait for a table, most of the food options were out, the food was cold, and the overall experience was not good on the breakfast.

Nice hotel; great location and breakfast

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Sotel Smart and enjoyed the use of the ground floor and rooftop pools. The bed in the room was very comfy and the shower/ bath were great. We liked the location of the hotel to the beach and the beach front bars/ restaurants (a few minutes walk away). Very wide range breakfast selection.

Not huge problems but we felt the shower towel (one per person) given in the room were on the small side and it would be good if a spare loo roll and spare hand soap are left in the room after the room is cleaned each day as sometimes one partial loo roll left and no spare and we ran out of the hand soap bar so we used a spare one I had brought from home. Beach sand on floor not cleaned up daily so room did get to feel a bit grubby.

Great location and staff, but wouldn’t stay again…

The pool and amenities are nice. The location is very nice- tucked away from the busy Main Street but still easy to access both that and the mall (plus the night market behind the hotel is fabulous). Staff were very kind and accommodating.

There is a relentless smell in the rooms. At first I thought it was a moisture and/or mold problem, but it could be from the canal that goes by right outside the hotel. Either way, woke up every morning to a sore throat and congestion that went away as soon as I left the hotel. Maybe an air purifier or dehumidifier would help? Also felt that the shower could have been cleaned better.

Nice rooftop and great location, but cleanliness and hygiene is below standard.

The rooftop is the best part, and the reason I didn’t change hotels when I arrived. The most beautiful sunsets here and the pool opening hours are great. The location is amazing, a short 10 min walk to the main road and close to many night markets and stores.

The cleaning is below average. The first room they gave me the bathroom had a very bad mould smell. First they tried to mask it in cleaning products but after requesting to be moved they moved me straight away. The second room was nicer but had a mosquito problem in the bathroom. I told the staff and they said they sprayed repellent however it didn’t solve anything. Generally the cleaning is below par for the amount you pay. The room never felt clean, and some days they still hadn’t cleaned my room past 5pm or until I asked them to. I’m not sure if there’s better hotels in the vicinity but if you’re in to very good hygiene I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Not the best experience at the end of my vacation

I was stopped on the fifth day asking for an extra 700 baht which was very embarrassing when I had stayed here for five bays and had no trouble at all Total mix up at reception

Overall location and staff are fabulous.

The property location was very close to all things. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is an ATM on site which is great! The rooftop pool was stunning, the balcony with the room was amazing too. The open air concept of the hotel is very cool.

Very clean hotel, good sized room, very close to the beach (3min walk). There was both a large shower and a bathtub. Main shops/restaurants are about 1km away. Breakfast was good, some variety. Our room had its own plunge pool, the water was cool so we did not use it much. There is a large main floor pool and two roof top pools.

This hotel is ok. There’s not much to add, it’s clean enough, it’s a bit run down, its location is close to the beach.

It’s very run down, floor is peeling in the rooms, paint chipped, toilet seat off colour, bath was quite scummy.

Accessible Lush

Bed was amazing, super clean and super welcoming. They provide you robes and little sliders to use inside the room. The building itself it’s super modern and nice, the rooftop pool is HUGE and has the nicest view (we weren't expecting it tbh) great for pics haha The breakfast was okay - nothing incredible but they had an egg station, western options ect. I'd love more fruit options since we were in a tropical destination

The location is pretty tricky tbh - it’s a long walk without a tuk tuk to go to the main road, and the tuk tuk's would usually be a rip off. As two girls travelling alone, we didn't felt safe walking at night back to the hotel - the roads that lead there are dark and empty.

Nice property and rooftop pool, but needs improvements.

Nice property with a rooftop pool with great views for sunset. It also has a second pool in the ground floor. Rooms have comfortable beds, with water, coffe and tea replaced every day.

Cleanliness in the room could be improved. The floor was full of sand and dirt when we arrived. The floor wasn't swiped during the 4 nights we stayed at the hotel, whiche made ot impossible to walk without shows on. Breaking wasn't great. Coffe tasted cheap and burned. The buffet is full of carbs and barely any protein offered. I understand the hotel migjt be trying to cather to the vegan guests, but now there's no option for regular eaters. There's ony one options of chicken every day, no other meats. No bacon, no cheeses. Very repetitive bland dishes (potatoes, pasta, breads) during the 4 days we stayed. They would do better by just adding Thai dishes. I wouldn't recomend paying the extra fee for breakfast. The ambiance and entertainment could also be improved at the pool. Same repetitive elevator songs everyday and at a minimum volume. This is an adult only resort it could have a better lively atmosphere at least at the foortop pool. And have the quite pool in the ground floor.

The bed

Just concrete, completely devoid of any personality. Bathroom stunk, staff were officious but not friendly. Pool was all concrete and really slippery. Superior garden view room had a view of another resorts garden, BlueSotel doesn’t have one!

Excellent customer service and great location

We booked the room with the plunge pool for 4d3n and it was worth every cent. Room was huge and the plunge pool is perfect for dipping in at the end of a hot day. Customer service was top notch. My partner informed the hotel it was my birthday and the staff delivered cakes and a handwritten birthday card to our room which was completely unexpected. Breakfast was decent but we were hoping for more options but no other complaints. Hotel location was perfect as it was 5 mins away from the beach and about 10 to 15 mins away from the main beachfront strip. Plenty of bars along the beach stretch for those who would like to unwind in the evening with a drink to watch the fantastic sunset.

Breakfast options were limited but it wasn't a deal breaker for us.

Clean and comfortable with enough beds for a group of 4 people to sleep in the same room.

Not much vegetarian or vegan food for breakfast. The hotel did not allow addition of one more pax to the 4-bedded room. We booked another double bed room for 5pax.

Another Fantastic Stay – Just as Perfect as the First Time!

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint! The room was very comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. The highlight was definitely the amazing pool view. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful stay.
