About this cottage rental
The Los Pérez Andalusian farmhouse is situated in the municipality of Carataunas, in an area known as "El Padre Eterno", one kilometre from the road that runs from Carataunas to Pampaneira, (in the heart of La Alpujarra), with beautiful views of the ravines, mountain ranges and valleys.
The farmhouse has been recently renovated and, apart from the house, has approximately one hectare of land between the garden, swimming pool, reading area and the rest is made up of olive groves, almonds and orange trees; where guests can also pick tomatoes and other vegetables from our own vegetable garden. The whole perimeter of land is fenced off, and there is an irrigation canal along its southern part which waters the Vale of Órgiva, giving the land a certain freshness. A magnificent place to relax and enjoy nature .
This is a farmhouse with a lot of history and family tradition, which has been passed down from generation to generation. The house offers all the charm of days gone by with the comfort of modern times. The restoration work was carried out using stone and wood, and we have aimed to preserve the style of the past with traditional farming tools , oil lamp lighting and age-old switches.
From the house, during the mating season and at certain times of the day, you can usually listen to the singing of the partridge or the yelping of the fox. The current owner of the land was born and brought up in the country. This person is an expert in crops and the traditional customs of La Alpujarra.

Una pasada, sobre todo la parte de afuera de la casa, su huerto, su piscina y la ubicación.

Hemos pasado una semana genial. Los niños encantados con la piscina y el gran jardín y hemos descansado más de lo pensado. Los propietarios muy amables y pendientes de nosotros en todo momento. Repetiremos

Por cuarta vez, hemos estado en el Cortijo, porque nos sentimos como en casa, mejor aun porque en Madrid no disponemos de muchas cosas que aquí tienes al alcance de la mano, como el vivir unos días en plena naturaleza, con el contacto permanente con La Alpujarra, zona que nos encanta. El silencio solo roto por el cantar de los pájaros. Las noches estrelladas, que es increíble, ver lo que tenemos encima de nuestras cabezas, sobre todo cuando en las grandes ciudades esto nos esta negado. Los preciosismos pueblos cercanos de la Alpujarra, que de alguna forma te acercan, a un mundo que existe, en el que te das cuenta, de que para vivir no hacen falta tantas cosas.
La casa, una maravilla, equipada a tope, la piscina, la zona verde, la huerta de la que se puede coger lo necesario, los arboles frutales, los olivos, hacen de la estancia en este cortijo un placer, que hacen cortisima la estancia.
Los propietarios, a los que conocemos desde años, hacen de la estancia con su trato tan cercano y amable, un placer, para repetir nuevamente, lo cual seguro que lo haremos.
En resumen, es un placer para los sentidos, el poder pasar en el cortijo, unos dias de descanso.

Hemos estado durante cuatro días en el puente de Castilla la Mancha ( finales mayo-junio).
El paraje y la zona nos ha encantado. Mucha tranquilidad, sólo oyes a los pájaros, algún rebaño de ovejas y visitas puntuales de animales del lugar como algún gatito. Pudimos usar la piscina que estaba muy limpia. La casa ofrece muchas posibilidades de entretenimiento, jardín muy amplio con muchos rincones para descubrir sobre todo para los niños. La cocina perfectamente equipada, las camas comodísimas. Sitio perfecto para desconectar y estar en contacto directo con la naturaleza. situado muy cerca de pueblos tan bonitos como Pampaneira, Capileira y Soportújar. Y muchas rutas de senderismo que salen desde el cortijo para el que le guste caminar.
Los propietarios son encantadores, dispuestos a resolver cualquier duda, y encantados de ofrecer su casa para el disfrute así como los productos del huerto. La pena es que en la época que hemos ido, aún no había muchas cosas, aunque alguna fresa hemos podido comer. Lo que sí alegra la vista son los rosales y todas las plantas en flor que hay en este momento.
En fin, un lugar altamente recomendable.
