Romance in Bay is a simple and clean accommodation with a nice kitchen to prep meals. It is very close to the beach but a bit far from the main surf point - but still walking distance. Good value for an AC room in Arugam bay. Tanya is a great host and was very flexible with our check-in, which was in the middle of the night. She is always available on whats app. We liked the pace and extended our stay spontaneously.

Everything is amazing- clean, quiet, good location. We could also use a fully equipped kitchen. I would stay here again.

Comfy bed but that’s it wouldn’t recommend.
The rooms were dirty the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, cockroaches in the room and bathroom! The bedding was just a sheet over the mattress so kept coming off and could see the mattress was filthy, so stuffy and hot you have to pay for aircon and even then it’s still not pleasant. Staff weren’t very helpful didn’t really communicate with us asked questions regarding the bus and just got back “I don’t know”. Expensive for what you get definitely look for somewhere else as can get much cheaper and better accommodation for sure
