Good location great pool area and breakfast ok
Air conditioning stuck at 23 degrees being the lowest and kept stopping. Controlled by the hotel who wouldn’t do anything about it. Spoke to reception numeral times. Not particularly friendly. No language barrier as I’m French. Anyway when spending £250 a night and it is 37 degrees outside I expect to be in control of my own air con. Not much to ask!

The pool area was really pretty with plenty of places to sit shade and sun, boule available too. The staff were really friendly and the service was good. Some of the food was good. It was a very short walk to the beach. Some other restaurants over at and nr beach too which served better food. Beach is only a cove though you can’t go for a beach walk.
The rooms are extremely small as is the bathroom. The food at pool was very limited menu and high end prices. They let people in for the day so it can get busy and kids can be noisy. €23 to get to Le Lavandou in a taxi each way, no shuttle bus. No laundry service. You got 2 coffee capsules and 2 tea bags for a 7 day stay! At pool €5 for a herbal tea! Not much to do in local area.

First room was very small but the staff moved us to a bigger one which was great

There is a very nice swimming pool, and the hotel is well located. Close to La Lavendou town centre, and near to very nice beaches which you can walk to. If the hotel rented bikes a cycle would be good, but the hotel doesn't (or didn't tell us they did anyway).
The hotel was adequate, but quite overpriced for the quality of the rooms, the service and the food. The hotel was very busy for our first few nights, but then became very quiet for the remaining 3–4 nights in mid-July. I checked the current room rate while we were there, and it was almost half of what we paid. To be honest, that price is probably much closer to what the hotel should be charging. Most of the staff were great, with the exception of one receptionist who always seemed moody. It actually became quite awkward walking past her every time we entered or left the hotel. When we checked out, I had to ask for an itemised bill so I could see exactly what I was being charged for. This took around 10 minutes while they tried to get the printer working, and they seemed annoyed that I'd asked. I shouldn't have to ask, and should be talked through the bill. Which would happen at other hotels charging what they charge. I wouldn't normally leave a review, but at close to 500 euros a night, La Piscine was a disappointment. It simply wasn't worth that kind of money. The rooms were small but clean, and the pool is very nice. Breakfast was okay, and the location is good for beaches close by (St Claire, La Fossette etc.) In short, we stayed at a few different places along the Côte d'Azur, and La Piscine was by far our most expensive hotel, yet unfortunately it was the biggest let-down of the trip. I'd stay again if the prices better reflected the quality of the hotel.
