Villa Jupe

Hi, stayed at this property 28th December to 5th jan, then moved to another Villa in costa Teguise. For the money we payed it was excellent. The owner who cannot speak a single word of English, lives next door. I can speak 3 words in Spanish. You get a massive living room with a kitchen. It has one big bedroom and a bathroom. We booked it because it was very cheap over the new year. And PDC was very expensive. There is nothing in Tías, a couple of supermarkets and 2 bars. So we would catch the number 30 bus from the football stadium that runs every hour. It drops you near the shopping centre near the old town. Taxi was between €10-€15. But try and get one in Tías ! If you want to get away from it and have a hire car, it’s great. It has great Wi-Fi. We took our fire stick so we could watch a bit of to at night. It had a washing machine and private drying area.

They were supposed to change the towels, but never did. There is literally nothing in Tías. We seemed to be constantly waiting for the bus. The wife got bit a lot by mozzys, so take mozzy repellent. I

Hello, firstly I have to apologies for late review as to being super busy on my return from Villa Jupe for 3 weeks in March. We were totally relaxed and was left to do our own thing which was great for 3 weeks and to chill out with the chirp of canarys. Juan was a fantastic host where nothing was too much trouble. It's next to a road of course but didn't bother us in the slightest. Short walk to Tias town centre where there is everything you require from supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and cafes. Certainly beats staying in Peurto del Carmen where it gets very manic at times. This area is more laid back wh8ch we're happy with as we went to PDC in a short ride taxi when we felt like it. Clean bed linen was provided every week, very comfortable sun loungers and everything you need in kitchen to cook some great meals if you so wish. Juan even gave us half a dozen super fresh and tasty eggs every week from his chickens which was an added bonus. One thing that could be a great addition to the kitchen is an Air Fryer. You would be able to cook so many more delicious and healthier meals if so desired. Big thank you Juan for making us feel at home.

The apartment is light, spacious, clean and comfortable with everything that you might need for a longer stay (apart from the oven which we did miss after a while). Beds were also comfortable and clean; there was an option to use bedsheets as covers or duvets. We were also given beach towels. Juan, the host brought clean bedding and towels every week. He was very welcoming on our arrival and was always available on the phone. We used google translator to communicate via WhatsApp. The WiFi was good and we were given an extra cable to connect our laptop to the TV so we could watch Netflix, Amazon or else. The apartment is located in a nice (small) village with local supermarkets (selling fresh and local foods), bakeries and cafes away from busy towns and tourists. It is a great location if you want to explore the island or simply relax on the terrace. I would recommend renting a car. I stayed there for 3 weeks in April and loved it. The views are beautiful.

There is no oven. The garden furniture could be more comfortable. The apartment is located by the road so you can hear the cars although it is not a very busy road.
