Amazing property. Large. Living room perfect for 6 adults and the log fire is great. Kitchen dining space excellent, seating at the table for 6 with a small sofa too. Large bedrooms and very comfortable beds and pillows. Back patio space lovely for a morning coffee. Be brilliant when the weather is nice.
The location could not be better for stow.
Hosts are fantastic. Provided some breakfast bits for us on arrival plus coffee tea sugar etc. Allowed both an early check in and late checkout at last minute requests.

Location in a lovely village with lots of options for eating out and shops to wonder around. Great location to visit other lovely villages from. The cottage is gorgeous. Picture perfect.
We were told parking is easy on the street which it absolutely was not. It was a nightmare frankly to the point we had to return to cottage after dark just to get a park within 100 meters. Kitchen dining room was very very cold even though there was a heater in there. We found the kitchen to be lacking in some useful item including a knife sharpener as knives are not sharp. A couple of plastic containers would be very useful too. Back gate/fence is not stable therefore making it very hard to get gate open or closed. Shower handset in one shower is broken and no longer holding the shower handset properly to the point it falls out when you turn the shower off and on if you’re not careful. The towels provided are NOT good. Very small and well used. Couches in snug are very uncomfortable, even though they look lovely. One of the chairs at the dining table is rickety and i would avoid sitting on it. There are stains on the carpets that really need a clean. I think the cottage is lovely but just needs a really good clean, private parking ( there is a graveled parking area at the back, not sure is a deal couldn’t be made with owner?)and attention to the finer details addressed, like nice towels, adequate heating in whole house, and making sure the practical things are provided in the kitchen.

Great location, beautiful old property tastefully designed. We loved the log burner, the open plan kitchen and lots of bathrooms. Lots of great walks, runs and cycles from Stow. Excellent fish and chips and Indian takeaway nearby!
Nothing - we thought parking might be a problem as we arrived on Saturday afternoon when it was very busy, but only had to pay for the carpark twice during the whole week.

Good location, cosy log fire, reading room, each bedroom had its own bathroom. Good quality bread, butter and jam were left in the fridge for us.
We weren’t clear on how to access the parking space for the property, we also couldn’t figure out the different bins and recycling from the instructions provided. Property has some signs of wear and tear but that is probably down to how the other guests treat the place rather than the hosts.

Perfect location, really comfy beds and pillows, great welcome info with suggested walks and pubs. Lovely to have 3 beds and 3 luxury bathrooms .
Some glasses for either fruit juice or gin and tonic, more breakfast bowls and a couple of mixing bowls.

Beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. Right in the heart of Stow in the typical Cotswolds style. Easy reach of all facilities and other local towns.
Nothing.

Perfect location, loved all of the quirky and beautiful eateries and bars close by as well as the history and character that oozed from every building. Hosts left some lovely fresh breakfast supplies which was a nice and thoughtful touch. There was an issue with one of the showers not working, but instantly fixed by Ben as soon as made aware. Did not detract from our visit. We’ll be back!
Having to leave!

The perfect location
Next door to a takeaway, but then that’s to be expected when so close to the town and all other amenities.

Communication with the owner was great! The location couldn’t be beat and it felt like we were “locals” for a few days. The place was very clean and cozy and we could not have asked for a better stay!
An earlier check-in would have been great, but I get it. The cleaning person was very cordial and allowed us to store our bags in the back courtyard while we explored the town. That was very much appreciated!

A beautiful house in the perfect location to explore The Cotswolds. The house is clean, with lovely beds and bed linen, well equipped kitchen, all round must stay. Some food bits on arrival were a nice touch too. Great communication and information from the owners. Highly recommend.

Stowe is a beautiful town and the location of the property is the best feature.
It simply wasn’t up to our standards in terms of cleanliness or comfort. The living area/parlor in the front had worn, stained furniture with cushions that have caved in from overuse. I understand this property is rented often, so you’d imagine the owner’s could afford usable furnishings. The room also smelled of an overpowering stale soot/chimney odor that made it unpleasant to sit there as well.
We found cobwebs draped over the beds and in every corner, hairs in the bathroom and showers and even in the cutlery tray amongst the utensils. The remainder of the furnishings appeared hodge-podge and perhaps sourced from second hand shops. Nothing was tasteful, to include the outdoor area which was overgrown and neglected.
The downstairs bathroom smelled strongly of mildew and was unpleasant to use. Not a single washcloth or bar of soap was provided. We had to buy our own up the street. Unheard of for us, as we had been traveling for 2 weeks prior throughout the U.K. and every other property gave soap and wash/face cloths.
We never heard from the owner/manager after checking in. Not a word to see if we were comfortable or needed anything, despite having a 5 night reservation and paying a premium for the accommodation.
I (the paying guest) had to reach out to the owner and advise of our findings and less than stellar impression of the property. She acted totally shocked, became indignant and defensive but never offered to provide any assistance. Ultimately, her only concern was the impact a poor review would have on her ability to earn money in the future. And yes, those were her exact words. She was rude, flippant and exactly the type character you DON’T want to encounter in a situation like this. Her house manager did offer to provide another cleaning, but we were already 4 of our 5 days in and just wanted to be done with things.

It was a b&b so we made our own,but the lovely owners left us bread eggs and milk. It was a lovely surprise.
We loved how close to shops and lovely attractions.
It would have been nice to have a dryer or more racks to hang washing on.

3rd bedroom needs to be made totally aware how small height wise it is too

it was beautiful, cozy, clean, and well equipped! The owners had left kind instructions for walks and restaurants as well as kindling and wood for the fireplace.
There was NOTHING we didn’t like!!

No.14 is a beautiful cottage, all rooms had an en-suite bathroom/shower room. The size of the property is very good. The owners gave us very clear and helpful instructions about the property, how to access the car park and suggestions for trips and places to eat. Upon arrival at the property we felt welcome. Complimentary food and breakfast items were available. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean and is well decorated. My favourite part of the house is the cosy library- sitting on a comfy armchair, literally surrounded by books. The location of the property is perfect, one can walk to the nearby shops, the main square and so many places to eat. If possible we would be very happy to choose this cottage again. Thank you Ash and Dave!

Excellent stay at no. 14! Great location, very clean and a comfortable cottage.
The owners provided a lot of detail on the area with places to visit, restaurants to eat at and local walks.
We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children (3 years) and the property provided ample space for us to enjoy our stay.
