Storico Loft nel Cuore di Lucca

Truly amazing apartment that feels very homely and is perfectly located within the city. It is right on the top floor, up some wonderfully old, solid stone stairs. Exposed wooden beams and roof tiles in the apartment really add superb charm and character. Spotlessly clean throughout. The mezzanine floor is above the aircon unit and didn’t cool down, however there is a fan up there to help create a breeze. Superb communications from the owner, could not have asked for better. Pinelli's around the corner from the apartment has superb espresso and breakfast items! Perfect apartment, perfect stay, perfect host Would highly recommend

Litt høye trappetrinn opp til leiligheten. Gikk fint å gå, men tungt med kofferter.

Location was very good in relation to the main sights in Lucca. Close to the train station. The apartment was spacious with a good bathroom, reasonably comfortable bed, and decent kitchen, though there was no electric jug or kettle which I found strange. Key access was easy. Lots of windows which I liked.

Access was down a dark and dirty alley-way which was a bit spooky at night as I am a solo traveller. Also up about 50 steep stone stairs once inside which was not a particular problem for me as I am fit and travel lightly, but would be an issue for some. The apartment decor was tired and dated, but I guess that’s a taste thing as other reviewers have liked it. The bed linen felt quite old and not fresh. Again that’s a personal thing.
