We had a fantastic time in Rhodes, just as much at the accommodation as well. The staff were extremely kind and helpful! Breakfast at the accommodation is prepared by a lovely lady, who was very kind and even helped us with recommendations for sights to see. We would also like to give special thanks for the champagne we received! Overall, it is a beautiful, simple yet wonderful place to stay, which will remain a very special memory for us - we will definitely return! :)
The only thing we didn’t like was the shower, which could use some renovation, but everything else was wonderful, beautiful, and clean!

The staff (when around) were extremely friendly, although communication proved tricky. The location is within easy walking distance of all the old town attractions and accessible with the airport bus as well as a few minutes' walk from a taxi station. There are also several beaches nearby and many great restaurants within a block or two of the hotel. The breakfast is simple but fresh, when they remember to prepare it: We received a boiled egg, some fresh bread, a small portion of Greek yoghurt with honey, cornflakes, and some cold cuts. If you're hungry or have any dietary requirements, you might struggle. While the owner graciously allowed us to check-out late on the day we were leaving without extra payment, we were given no instructions about what to do when we check out and we only received a response saying again, there'd been a misunderstanding when we were boarding our plane! We are still trying to figure out how to pay the hotel since this was supposed to be done at check-out and no one was around.
Despite the photos depicting a quaint, white-washed, Grecian hotel with a picturesque courtyard and airy rooms, this was not really the case. While the courtyard is lovely, it could do with some love and a little maintenance. As for the rooms, they are sparsely furnished and the first night we arrived, we didn't even have blankets on our bed, just a single sheet. The rooms also smell quite damp and aren't well ventilated. Towels do not dry well inside at all. The bathroom door was so warped from moisture we at first didn't think it closed at all. We later discovered that it required significant force to shut completely which caused a jarring slamming sound that would not doubt disturb the neighbors. Also, the shower assembly was literally coming off the wall due to a loose screw and the handheld shower spray didn't work at all. A missing component just caused water to bubble out of the tap. We also have one hand soap dispenser the first night and were only given more shampoo/shower gel toiletries the next day after we complained about the lack of bed linen and described the shower situation. The shower was never fixed during our stay and we weren't offered a different room. When we arrived the lady didn't seem to know we were even coming and asked us to choose a room which seemed odd but this was just the beginning of miscommunication woes. After returning to the hotel around 8pm, we thought we were locked out as we were never informed about the gate and thought our key didn't work in the lock. When we tried calling the owner, we received no response and eventually solved the situation ourselves by climbing over the wall calling into question the security of the hotel. Later the owner apologised saying he was running out of battery on his phone and couldn't answer. Due to a 'miscommunication' we never received breakfast on our last day.
