RIP-OFF, FALSE POSITION ON THE MAP, NOT ON THE BEACH, over 100 steps above it

NOTHING AT ALL. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT EVER (I have completed 48 reservations on booking.com plus bunch of others). RIP-OFF. False position on the map. The true position is on the hill next to Ankora apartments. I thought these map-position tricks from the 90ies had already disappeard. They should be non-existent in the era of internet.

We arrived to a house on the beach as it appears on the map. Nobody expected us. After calling the "owner's" number an operator told us to go to a different house, 75 steep steps up with all the luggage in 35°C heat. There was a croatian lady speaking only Croatian, she showed us another 35 steps to climb. We refused. She also told us she had expected only two people to arrive. We booked for four. Although the languages of the accomodation that state on booking.com are english, german etc. the lady was only able to communicate in Croatian. We had to call again the "owner's" number. A very rude Czech speaking lady said that it was all our fault that we had booked this accomodation and according to this rude lady the number of steps from the apartment to the sea is only 6!!! I have a video evidence of at least 100 steps!!! No apology, no compensation, no offer of another accomodation. I tried to call booking.com, after waiting for 35 minutes without being connected I lost my patience.

Good

Wonderful view from the balcony. It was clean and renovated.

The balcony is too narrow so we did not spend much time there. It is suitable maximum for two people to sit and have cofee. Impossible to have e.g. breakfast on the balcony. Although Apartment is newly renovated there was unpleasent smell in the bathroom. The air conditioning was charged additionally 5EUR per day. The water from airconditioning was unfortunately not disposed of properly and when we used it the balcony was all the time wet, which was troublesome. There were no wine glasses available.

Superb

The host was very polite and friendly. The apartment is nice, comfy with lots of space. The kitchen has everything we needed. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We just loved to sit there in the evenings and watched sunset over the see and local hills.

We missed hair-drier and washing-machine.
