Modern and comfortable rooms in a Gasthaus style establishment with a good restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful.

While the location appears quiet, the Monschauerlandstrasse is busier than ii appears and there is tragic late at night, which can be audible in some rooms. There is no WiFi.

A great place for a stayover when travelling on the A4

A well placed hotel when travelling the A4. Room: Good bed, spacious well equipped bathroom, quiet at night. The hotel has its own restaurant which is open all days including the monday we visited. The restaurant menu was varied and the food we ordered was good and plentiful. The breakfast was excellent with large variety including hot items. We were offered fresh fried eggs. Excellent value for money. Recommended´!

Germany Road Trip

10 +++ / AA+++ stay. Smooth and fast check-in young lady. Parking directly next to property, but it was a problem the day I was there, there were two weddings downstairs but I did get parking directly in front. Great Wifi and great hot water. Nice new very clean room. New bathroom. Quiet location, GREAT Breakfast Daniel - USA.

No elevator and lack of electrical outlets ..... still wonderful AAA+++ stay.

Only one person in the restorang spoked English. The morning cleaning in the resto started 06.00, was noisy and we could not sleep. The pillows was bad.

The restaurant deserves several stars. Perhaps the best cooked dishes ever! Top quality. Spacious room and bathroom.

No lift or assistance with luggage. But the pros compensated more than enough for this minor detail.

For those that know Germany this was a place that was run to those old standards of hospitality

My comments are based on very busy afternoon/evening with at least 3 large, separate, parties being catered for at the same time as looking after residents and casual visitors. Also Covid-19 restrictions has a significant effect. Reception was friendly and efficient and we, and other visitors, were served at the bar. We were able to book a table but due to it being a very busy Saturday we had to wait till 20:00, it was well worth the wait. Our room was well maintained and clean, more than adequate for overnight stay. Breakfast was buffet service with plenty of choices and there was more than adequate seating both inside and out. Our stay was not only a very welcomed stop on a long journey, it was somewhere that if we had not got another 200+ miles to go we would have certainly not had an early night.

Good starting point for a nice bicycling day through the country.

Very good breakfast buffet. Typical hotel decorations, full of red unicorns representations. Enjoyable atmosphere, very clean room. We enjoyed very much the restaurant. Shadowed outside place. View on horses at the back of the building. Good location to start bicycle tour around. Not far from the Rur-Route. Far enough from Düren to feel in the country.

A bit noisy place, along the road to Monschau. No way to keep your room window open during the night.

Relaxed stay, amidst the pandemic.

The buffet breakfast had 2 types of charcuterie, fruits, cheese. Coffee was excellent and juice also available. Eggs on request. The rooms were clean. This place is good if you have a car and would like to avoid a busy crowd.

The bed was a bit soft. There was a disinfectant at the entrance of the resto but not the hotel. It would be good to have a few more, ideally on every floor, especially as one have to open a lot of doors.

Zeer goed hotel, met goed restaurant er bij. Ruime kamer, goede douches

Zondagmorgen kon de ontbijt dame het niet alleen aan waardoor bijna alles op was. Nadat wij een karig ontbijtje bij elkaar gescharreld hadden werd wel alles weer bijgevuld. Helaas waren wij dus op het verkeerde moment. Maandagmorgen was alles weer in overvloed te krijgen.

De locatie was echt slecht. Aan grote baan en geen leuke wandelingen vlak aan hotel. Wellness en gym is in ander hotel, 1 km verder en was niet op te maken uit advertentie. Ontbijt was echt niet goed. Geen deftige koffie, geen thee gezien, geen vers fruitsap, geen variatie in brood, 1 dag geen koffiekoek en zelf moeten vragen achter eitjes. Restaurant trekt wel volk maar vonden wij ook niet lekker. Kamer ook heel warm en geen lift!

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Personal sehr hilfsbereit, wenn auch bei der Rezeption etwas gestresst. Restaurant im Haus praktisch. Abstell- und Lademöglichkeit für E-Räder.

Zimmer im Dachgeschoß, Bett unter Dachschräge. Eine Seite des Bettes war nur in geduckter Haltung zu erreichen. Die Treppe ins Dachgeschoss sehr steil, Stufen zum Teil sehr/zu klein. Die Tür vom Treppenhaus zu den Zimmern läßt sich nur in das Treppenhaus hinein, auf einer sehr kleinen Stufe stehend öffnen, daher große Sturzgefahr. Viel befahrene Bundesstraße direkt vor der Tür.

Sehr schön

Wir wurden bei der Ankunft sehr freundlich empfangen und wir konnten unsere Motoräder sehr gut abstellen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich. Das Personal war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Wir konnten am Abend draußen auf der Terrasse unser Abendessen im letzten Sonnenschein genießen. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich gut, lecker angerichtet und geschmacklich einfach wunderbar. Toll!!! Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und wir waren glücklich.

Prima hotel

Bij aankomst bleek er iets fout te zijn gegaan met het overnemen van de boeking vanaf booking.com, er was sprake van overboeking. Er werd ons direct een suite aangeboden in het andere hotel. De eerste nacht konden we verblijven in het hotel zoals geboekt, met het restaurant. Vriendelijk personeel, goed eten! Ontbijt is lekker en voldoende keus voor 7,50 per persoon.

Kamers zijn netjes maar meer gedateerd tov het nieuwe pand. Lampenkap mist in de badkamer.

Sehr gutes und ausreichendes Frühstück. Das Restaurant bot eine große Auswahl. Die Qualität der Speisen war exzellent. Preis-Leistung perfekt.

Am Morgen war in der Anmeldung niemand, der Fragen und evtl. Probleme lösen konnte.
