The garden was beautiful and the bathroom was clean and beautiful
The jacuzzi was not in working condition for the majority of our stay but we got some money refunded as compensation

Located close to freeway. About +- 5 minute drive to beach. George and Mossel Bay close by. We found George easier to access. Directly in with the Freeway. Bypass route takes one directly to Outeniqua Pass. 130 Km from Cango Caves. (Be sure to book your spot at Cango Caves in advance as we did...you go straight in.) Caves were possibly the highlight of our trip. The communal braai area was clean and well kept (I would suggest the host stocks charcoal and firewood and offers this for sale).
It would be nice if the units were fitted with aircons. Quite hot in summer. Black Owl needs to be more equipped for self catering. (The host did indicate this is a priority and did provide the items we required very soon after requesting and was apologetic). (This is more of well meant advice rather than criticism.).

We stopped over for one night to break our trip from Gqeberha to Cape Town. Clean and good value for money.
No swimming pool area, although a lovely view from the deck.
