Cosy stay embellished with host's unfair, additional charges that left unpleasant distaste...
Very good communication with the host who live downstairs, very easy to pick the keys up. Property is great- very spacious and comfortable bedrooms (one with two single beds and one with big double) plus generous size, very well equipped kitchen. Enormous bathroom, spacious living room and quiet balcony are an additional bonus. Located in quiet cul de sac in Lechbruck, 22 km (30 min drive) from Schwangau where gorgeous Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles are located. Beautiful and must see region!
On the day of our departure host have informed us that the price on Booking.com website was wrong and we were charged an additional 50.20 EUR (apparently for cleaning and VAT that was not included in the original price what we have paid via Booking.com) therefore from the bond that we had to pay on our arrival (100 EUR mentioned on the website during booking) only 49.80 EUR was returned to us. We were also refused to be given any invoice. And as our bond was in host hands we de facto had nothing to say. I have contacted Booking.com advisers many times but nothing can be done as we didn't have any receipt for this additional payment. So for all of you who are considering Haus Johanna - please bear in mind that it's more than probable that you will receive either half or of your bond; or you will not see it at all.
