Lack of elevator to access, hard for guests with mobility issues.

There were no breakfast provisions and very basic one type of tea & 1 jar instant coffee. Shops not close by as arrived at night, no car to check neighbourhood, so had no dinner, no breakfast, no advance knowledge re this so came unprepared. Compendium not discovered till later, appeared old, possibly out of date, shabby. Host allowed me to book an extra day after my conference, was gracious, went the extra mile to assist my needs.

1. Suggest new Compendium - plus mark on map to say ‘you are here’ to assist guest orientation on arrival 2. Suggest Basic continental supplies for first B’fast 3. Suggest having a selection of teas/coffees 4. Suggest bed light connected to a power point so no falls/trips during night if/when needing comfort stop outside, everything dark so also unable to see switches.

The property is spacious, well furnished and clean. Hosts were very considerate and helpful. Location is good and outlook very good. Overall we would stay again which in itself gives a tick of approval.

There were some minor considerations that need addressing. There were no hand towels in the bathroom and another blanket on the main bed would have been helpful as the weather was chilly. There was an open carton of milk in the fridge which was a little concerning. I assume the cleaners fell down here. We threw it out. The main bed mattress was comfortable but didn’t appear to be micro sprung, partner movement somewhat disruptive.

Location was good. Short 15min drive from MCY airport. Opposite the beach, walking distance to shops and food outlets. Nice touristy vibe during the day, quiet at night. Apartment was ok., tidy, clean. Full cooking facilities, well equipped with tableware, fridge, etc...ideal for cooking and eating in. Balcony view was pleasing, nice view of the beach across the road, pool and gardens below. Overall the stay was ok.

Lock box instructions were ok but Instructions to enter garage .... " insert key in a box further up the wall indicated by signage under the circular light' ...were not adequate. " Phone call to the owner on arrival to get help as to security key location was NOT answered. An improvement.....The security key location to enter the garage would be best if shown in a picture. As well, no instructions were given to exit the garage. Phone call to owner this time was thankfully answered, Security key location to exit is near the stairs and apartment admin office. Again would be best if shown in a picture. No lift in building...stairs are an issue for weak- worn out knees. Air conditioner was advertised as a feature but , it was NOT working,.. This was not disclosed at booking time but only disclosed by SMS the day before arrival....." it has rusted and will be replaced in a few weeks" . Improvement suggestion....replace it SAP or until it is replaced , declare on the booking site that there is no A/C and also that ....."there is no lift....stair access only" . No privacy in lounge area....there are no curtains or blinds ....the public from the street has full view to inside the apartment lounge area.. Bed was ok but blankets ??, might need to be checked. Had an itchy night requiring Claratyne from chemist.
