Sítio da Assumada

Our stay at Sítio da Assumada was truly special, and a huge part of that was Ricardo. From the moment we arrived, he went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect, sharing genuinely useful local tips about supermarkets, restaurants, and the best times to catch the tide pools. He was always quick to respond, endlessly patient with our group of eight, and clearly takes real pride in making guests feel at home. The house itself was wonderful — a fully equipped kitchen, a stunning view over the fields to the sea, and a perfect base for exploring Fajã Grande — but it was Ricardo's warmth and tireless hospitality that truly made the trip unforgettable. Highly recommend both the house and the host to anyone visiting Flores

There is honestly nothing negative to point out about our stay.

We had flight delays and were supposed to stay at a different property but they couldn’t accommodate us any longer. The host booked us in last minute and we are so glad we ended up there! My son absolutely loved the garden and spent so much time in the hammock. The host was so kind and helpful and enjoyable to talk to. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and we really liked the location. I was sad to leave!

Absolutely beautiful property and wonderfully maintained. The gardens are wonderful and the short walk to Fajã Grande was easy and lovely. Ricardo, the owner, is great - very friendly, responsive and helpful. I would enthusiastically recommend the place.
