Steep stairs upto to rooms

For me was the location was the most important thing as I was catching the Eurostar the next morning. The room was basic but clean & comfortable & I was able to was sleep after doing a performance gig late in London & the location be so close to St Pancras station relieved a lot of stress so I was able to take my time knowing I only had a 5 min walk.

Due to location being in such a built up area it was very noisy all night and with the weather being exceptionally hot at this time of year that did restrict my ability to sleep. Circumstances we are unable to change. But the location for me out weighed those other things

Good price, good location, friendly staff, good meal and drink options downstairs.

Very hot weather, west facing room, no aircon: led to difficult nights. There was a fan which helped. Shared bathrooms are always awkward, too.

Very noisy at night. We used it as a base for sightseeing so we were tired for 4 days and the noise kept us up till midnight and gone. In hindsight somewhere further out of town may have been better even with the added travel cost. The street outside has a lot of sirens through the night but we were there on a busy weekend with pride, Wimbledon and F1. We didn’t get any fresh towels for the 4 days either. The pictures are out dated but generally accurate. We moved a bedside drawer and had to get wet wipes to clean the wall and pipes as the lint / dust build up was so bad. But the owners seemed lovely, the bar staff polite and the atmosphere ok. We didn’t have any dinner there. We did get lunchbox food daily and coffee each morning from M&S and Pret which were a short walk away. Great for transport. The pub shuts at 8pm Sundays so the noise outside does improve.
