Stunning accommodation in Whangarei

Loved the view down through the bush to the water. Quite a big room and very quiet. Especially loved Holly, she was the perfect host. Took us to our room and showed us everything and when she spoke to you it was like you were the most important person in the room. The restaurant was good and great having cabinet food available.

Our beds were a bit hard. That's a personal thing and I've had an accident so would be more susceptible than usual.

Loved the size of the rooms they are old style and do need a little modernising but saying that they are still good. Very roomy staying previous in dearer accommodation that are the standard rooms it’s good to have the space.

When we first walked in to check in staff did not welcome us, it took the (manager or owner) to come up to us offer apologies for her staff. We were upgraded in our room and very well looked after during our dinner dining.

Convenient location, great value for your dollar!

My wife and I used the executive suite - this felt way roomier and more comfortable than what I had had at a similar price from other hotel chains. We had an excellent view (when not blocked by bad weather), and plenty of options of movies/TV shows to stream when we called it a night. The breakfast was abundant, filling and delicious.

The parking up front was a bit cozy, especially when occupied by larger vehicles. There is a second parking area, but I didn't try it.

Pretty gardens. Receptionist was friendly, rooms were clean and cute. Pool was nice.

We could hear the people upstairs, they were noisy and banging so did not get to sleep till late. Parking is not allocated and away from your room. Spa costs extra and the bed was really hard and restaurant was closed

Good spot for an overnight stay on our way to the Bay of Islands.

Good sized room and bathroom.A little outdated but clean with a nice view over the pool and out to the river. Nice friendly book in and bar staff. Washing machine available.

We thought from the description it was closer to town. A definite drive to restaurants for dinner for us. But they did have a strip of local shops and their own restaurant. We enjoyed our breakfast and coffee.

Pleasant adequate four night stay.

Warm, dry, pleasant stay. Pool was refreshing, excercise room was very basic. We stayed four nights, ate three breakfasts and one evening meal. The food preparation and presentation is very good. It was apparent that the local clientele also appreciated the talents of the Chef & kitchen team.

There were three light fixtures in the room. The second light in the bathroom also turned on the fan, which was quite loud. The room lighting is insufficient. The online depiction/presentation of the facility was better than the actual physical plant.

All staff I encountered were friendly and professional and a pleasure to interact with. Room was large with a great view across to the harbour. Little extras like bottled water in the fridge, a good information folder and a well stocked bathroom were appreciated. Menu for lunch and dinner was varied and the food was delicious. Availability of pre dinner drink at the bar was also plus.

Great view, watching the sunset at night and the sunrise in the early morning. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. I enjoy soaking in the bath tub in the night after a long drive.
