Peaceful and the room was very japanese styled, Great.

Just alittle out of the way to get to, thats the only negativity.

We absolutely loved this place. Great Onsen, lovely rooms, great staff, fantastic breakfast. We had an amazing view from our balcony overlooking a private garden and beautiful river

While the internal spaces in the hotel were immaculate and beautiful, our private balcony was a bit tired. The balustrade needed a coat of paint to match the first rate finish of the internal spaces, and the balcony lacked a light, so could not be used at night without a torch.

The previous year we stayed in a Junior Ste. I am an older person and not so flexible. I paid extra this time for a bigger room and bed and the view. I loved it & it was worth every cent. Unfortunately, due to travel plans, we were only there for one Japanese breakfast.

Nothing that I can mention.

The location overlooking the river was very peaceful and calm. The breakfast was nice and varied each day and while it was a bit of a walk, it was possible to walk into the main area of Kanazawa. We had a huge room, but the layout was strange, with the toilet being close to the bedroom and the basin being over the other side of the apartment - not ideal for those of us who bother to wash our hands!

The hotel overall needs a bit of modernisation. For what is rated a 4* hotel on Booking.com I would call it s 2* hotel based on UK standards. Having been to other Onsen's during my travels in Japan, this was the first and very nearly put me off for the rest of my trip. It was unpleasantly hot, not overly clean and would not recommend.
