Absolutely Perfect Stay – A Hidden Gem!
We stayed here for just one night, and everything was absolutely perfect — it truly exceeded our expectations. From the warm welcome to the beautiful, spotless room and excellent amenities, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The atmosphere is so relaxing and elegant, and the service was outstanding. It’s honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in — such a lucky find! We only wish we could have stayed longer, and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful stay.

Major Disappointment
We booked this hotel for the final night of our holiday. The rooms were lovely, and the building was beautifully renovated.
On checking in, we asked to book a table at the restaurant, the receptionist was cool and absent and gave us no additional information. When we went down for a drink before dinner, the two staff in the bar were being told off by the receptionist in a very loud voice and in front of all guests. There was no drinks list, and the staff had no idea what wines were available. We ordered a couple of glasses of reasonable white wine. No nibbles were provided. We were then told that dinner was in the neighbouring Hotel Sonne, which is a 2 or 3 star hotel owned by the same group as the Schloss. The meal was a major disappointment. Two of the six meat dishes on the menu were not available. My Wiener Schnitzel was burnt black on one side. The dining room was modern but very sterile, fine for fast food, but not for fine dining. We asked for a carafe of red wine and were presented with a single glass filled to the brim. We explained we wanted two glasses and a carafe. They didn't have a carafe and split the full glass into two. The wine was awful - tastelless and flat. So much for a fine dinner to end our holiday. We returned to the hotel at 2000h to find it locked up, the bar was locked up and no staff around. It must be emphasised that the Schloss Neutrauchberg DOES NOT have a restaurant. It serves breakfast (which was good) and afternoon teas, but not a full lunch or dinner. It is not a 4 star establishment, despite having very comfortable and spacious rooms. Its staff are very willing but poorly trained, despite the brochure the Schloss has produced extolling their training programmes for staff. We certainly will not be revisiting and don't recommend it to anyone.

I liked the room and the interieur, secondly the gorgeous view, the quiet area and the short distance to Isny.
