Not the greatest

The bed was comfortable. the shower was hot

Impersonal - pick up key from desk, no-one around. Bar had closed sign on the door with no details if opening at all. So no communal lounge. It's more like a B n B without the second B although in my experience you usually get greeted at one. I would not call this an hotel. All rooms were upstairs with a fire exit door that opened inwards on the first floor almost touching the first tread on the stairs. My room had curtains that were difficult to open and close, and I couldn't open the window, which was covered in condensation each morning

Really comfortable hotel not far from Oban town centre. Our room was on the top floor and was big and clean. There was a small kitchen corner and the bathroom was small but well equipped. The bed and the pillows were really comfortable. There is parking on the street - you have to pay for it but it's free during the night.

Comfortable, clean, convenient hotel in Oban with extremely helpful staff

Comfortable and clean place to stay that is remarkably convenient - located just a few minutes' walk from the ferry to the Isle of Mull. The staff (Sheena) was friendly and incredibly helpful - she went above and beyond expectations to help us in setting our plans to visit Mull and Iona. The hotel is extremely convenient - located in the heart of Oban too.

Comfortable place just behind the main street of the shore in Oban

I found this accommodation last minute, but it was nice and the lady was extremely helpful.

The street is one-direction and it is just a bit difficult to get there if you don't know how, but it's easy enough to understand when you finally get there... Parking is free on Sundays in front of the facility

Location is superb. Right in the heart of Oban. Near to cafés, restaurants and sightseeing places. Room was comfortable on the first floor. Large bed, good clean toilet and showering facilities. Thank you to Sheena and Jodi for a magnificent holiday

Lovely couple of days spent in Oban

Lovely welcome from the host, hotel in a great location for the ferry and the town which is only a short walk away. Lovely older character property with retained period features, high ceilings and cornice etc room had been recently refurbed/decorated. Very comfortable.

No onsite parking but parking bays over the road which are free after 18:00hrs also a reasonably large car park opposite which you pay for. We didn’t have a problem with parking during our visit.

Convenient location right by the port. Walking distance to just about anything right in Oban you’d like to do. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. Good shower. Room was clean.

I love the old feel of the hotel, but the carpets are older, and the air is damp, so it inevitably was a tad musty - I don’t want to confuse it with dirty because our room was very clean.

Fantastic period hotel in a great location!

We loved this period property which is full of character and lovely original features. The rooms are bright and airy with fantastic high ceilings. We had a great sea view. The staff were so friendly and very welcoming. The location is perfect for trains, buses and the ferry. The central location is perfect for bars, restaurants and shops. Tourist attractions are within easy walking distance. The continental breakfast is value for money with a very good selection to choose from.

I liked the homey feel. It's a little old fashioned but that's exactly what I like. A warm, personal environment with lots of character and good conversation with the owner and staff. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful.

Cozy Oban retreat

The room was simple and clean, cozy bed, friendly welcome. We took the breakfast (continental) for 8.50£ which included a small buffet with everything that we needed. Nothing fancy but simple and good. Location is close to the station and ferry terminal.

It's an old house with thin walls. Can be a bit noisy in the morning, depending on when you get up.
