About this house rental

This home has three bedrooms and two baths with sleeping for up to eight guests. All flooring has been recently replaced and a wine patio built in the back yard. Guests enter through the rear entry door with a convenient coded electronic door lock. This is great so everyone can enter and exit at their leisure with no keys. Right inside the door is the eat-in kitchen. Whip up a tasty meal in the fully equipped kitchen complete with all you need to make it happen. My friends and I had an amazing time and were pleased with our experience on the island at our rental. We all hadn’t been to Put-In-Bay before and were skeptical, but after getting a golf cart and driving down to the Boardwalk to enjoy the bars, that changed pretty quick. Only problems were that the grill wasn’t how enough to use because of the burners, so we were unable to use it. The other being that the toilet seats were loose in both bathrooms. The main bedrooms bathroom door has to be forced shut a little because the frame and door are uneven. Other than that we had a great time and were able to enjoy every bit of our weekend. We would definitely return.

The house was clean and had nice updates. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 teenagers and there was plenty of room. I liked that it wasn’t right downtown because it was quiet and peaceful. This is a great place to stay, especially for the price and I loved that we could get our golf cart right there too.

Reviewer Comments: Very easy to make reservations over the phone for both the cabin and 6-passenger golf cart. I received reminders and a welcome text from Island Club. I understand that some renters do not take care of these properties but one of the reasons why I chose this particular cabin was that it indicated it was newly remodeled so of course I thought it would be in great shape. I guess I anticipated too much. Here is the list I made of issues that could have been taken care of easily:1. I would like to know the last time someone moped the floors in the entire cabin.2. The dryer had so much lint build up, I was afraid to use it for I might cause a dryer fire.3. How hard is it to change light bulbs? 4. The curtains in the bathroom were to small for the window, so who knows what people saw when they drove by. We did not even have curtains on the kitchen window and this window was quite large. The curtains in the front window were also to small leaving gaps in the curtains. 5. Both cutting boards were broke in half so there was no way of using them to cut our fruits and vegetables.6. The toasters handle was broke so you had to use the metal piece to push down to make toast.7. I'm not sure what happened to our bathroom door but it would not stay open or shut, so everytime I washed my hands or brushed my teeth, I would constantly have to hit the door with my back side to open it but then it would just close again and again and again. Whomever fixed the door should be demoted immediately!8. The molding around every door in the cabin was mismatched or missing. 9. The front door did not fit the opening so you could see outside on the sides and bottom of the door. 10. The horn on our golf cart did not work.I am not one to complain and I understand that some do not take care of your properties when they rent them, but us, that do rent from you, would at least like to have a clean cabin and a little TLC given to the

The place was tidy and clean and had a great layout (a “master bedroom” with queen size bed on one end and two other bedrooms with full and/or twin size beds on the other side of the cabin). We brought our own linens and towels. The washer and dryer made cleaning/drying our belongings easy. The kitchen was just big enough and had the essentials. It was nice to have two bathrooms, one having a walk-in shower (though you have to be quite careful with the sliding door as it doesn’t appear to be properly attached to the track). It appears the owners have been/are in the process of making updates to the cabin, making the place feel a bit more modern. We would definitely stay in this cabin again!

The property was in a great location, very close to the pool. Everything was as described, we enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin could use some work, nothing major just a little TLC. But that did not affect our stay at all. Very pleased and we’ll be back!!!

This is an ok home...its a redone double wide. No sheets or towels so, much bring your own. Very little immenities inside. Needed some repairs but, did not impeeded our stay. Enjoyed out visit...not a whole lot to do on the island other than party which is not our thing but, if it's yours this is a minnie key west in the Ohio! Was clean

We had such a great time! The house was clean ans spacious and can tell it was recently updated. Do need to fix doors and and cabinet doors. Doors wouldn't stay open nor would the cabinet doors would stay closed. But thats petty and we will be back!

Reviewer Comments: Location was great, accommodations were adequate for the 8 people as advertised, but first impressions are lasting and the condition of the property was not in keeping with the $900 per night price tag. Upon arrival before we walked in, we had a broken screen door, spiderwebs all over, weeds growing in the gutters, and garbage in the yard. When we walked in there was broken trim, a broken drawer in the refrigerator, dented appliances and just little things that one would not expect in a premium rental. We then had an ant problem in the kitchen. All this could have been resolved with 1 day of maintenance. Love the island and the cabin itself would be great, but the upkeep needs improvement.

Curtains in queen room Very uninviting. Didn't want to touch. Was told to turn light off otherwise bugs attracted to house. There was a 1 1/2 inch gap under screen door, bug would have been in in no time. Food was left in bottom on filter. Took picture of that and others mentioned if interested. I think it is a house where workers stay, since there were a lot of painting and fixing things in one closet that couldn't be used because of that.

The cabin was in middle of remodel I think some things were broken when we arrived but I called and they said they will get it takes care of. If we return we will probably stay in a different cabin with more room if we need it. But overall was great.

Perhaps it would be good to run the dishes through the dishwasher when the cleaning is being done, because some people just don't care how they leave things.
