If you are going to Arugambay, this is the best place to stay. It is really difficult to get an idea of the comfort and freedom here from the photos and reviews posted on booking.com. Because this is a much more comfortable and free place. Also, there is a very friendly staff. They treated us well.

Another world is een heerlijke, rustige plek om te verblijven in Arugam Bay. De plek beviel me zo goed dat ik een stuk langer ben gebleven dan gepland. Heel lief en behulpzaam personeel (ik kwam heel vroeg in de ochtend aan maar mocht toch gelijk al inchecken).De locatie is top, op slechts 1 minuut lopen van het strand maar ook vlakbij de restaurants, winkels en alles wat het centrum verder te bieden heeft. Alle kamers zijn gelegen aan een mooie groene binnentuin waar je lekker kan relaxen en de eekhoorns en kameleons kan bekijken. Kamers zijn schoon, en nog een bonus is dat je gebruik mag maken van de keuken en koelkast. Ze bieden hele goede surflessen aan van gekwalificeerde instructeurs (ik heb meerdere lessen gehad van Sulfi en die waren geweldig) op verschillende stranden. Kortom, een aanrader voor wie een fijne tijd in Arugam bay wil doorbrengen!

Stuff were very helpful
Location is good as is the perfect distance to have a calm atmosphere but be close to the centre
Nice facilities
Simple room
Shower was strong
Aircon worked well
No wifi working properly
No top sheet but I think is not very common in Sri Lanka

+ By agreement with the manager for an additional fee, you can use the kitchen.
+ In general, this is a normal option for accommodation. Just do not forget about the peculiarities of the local mentality.
- At first we lived in this hotel without booking on booking.com. We agreed on the price for accommodation with the hotel manager in advance. But on the appointed day at the time of payment (when there were no other options for living in Arugam), the manager raised the price. If you do not want such surprises, make a booking at booking.com.
- Poor water quality. The water was salty and dirty.
- Bad Internet connection.
