Anatolian Homes & Apart

The accommodation is situated outside the city centre but is reachable by bus (about 20 minutes). It is close to the sea and there are amenities and restaurants near it. It is spacious, clean and tidy, and has a balcony. There are basic utensils in the kitchen but no salt / oil / vinegar is provided. There is also a washing machine in the basement free for use during the stay. Facility staff are friendly and try to be helpful when responding to queries and concerns. Overall, a good stay in Antalya.

No salt / sugar / oil / vinegar is provided in the kitchen. A few areas in the room look worn off and needed renovation.

I really appreciate location of Anatolian Homes & Apart hotel. Hotel is located just 350 meters from the beautiful Konyaalti beach and 250 meters from supermarkets and a bus stop. Key criterion for choosing a room at the Anatolian Homes & Apart hotel was the size of the room, which at 40 m² is twice as large as rooms in similarly priced hotels in same location. I appreciate high, soft mattress on the double bed. Room also had a comfortable large sofa and a small sofa in front of the bed. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Next to bedroom was a balcony, which I used for romantic outdoor seating and also for my daily exercise. Bedroom was visually separated from kitchen by a lowered decorative ceiling. Kitchen with hob and refrigerator had everything needed to prepare breakfast, including dishes, plates, and cutlery. Bathroom was clean and tiles had a non-slip surface. Hotel staff spoke fluent English, were very friendly throughout, and responded quickly to everything I asked them to do, including arranging a taxi to the airport.

Location, how clean it was, 24h reception, water pressure

This hotel is not one of the most luxurious but it is perfectly adequate for value for money, but it shouldn’t be rated as 5 stars. It is very well situated for the beach, the bars/restaurants and public transport. The staff were invariably lovely. Rooms were neat & tidy, the bathroom was also clean but extremely basic and could do with a little bit of care and attention, with shower holder coming off the wall, missing bog roll holder, no vanity unit or any other storage. Bath furniture was limited to a small frameless mirror with glass shelf and towel hooks. There were three washing machines in a communal close always readily available for guests, and the balcony in my room was fitted up with a washing line.

The major complaint was the disgusting odour of sewage lingering in the bathroom. One night the sewage smell was particularly horrendous, infiltrating into the rest of the suite, I could barely sleep let alone using the bathroom. Not sure if it was an outright failure of water traps or something else. The owners blamed it on the strong wind prevailing on the day and affecting the vents, and advised all the properties in the area were suffering from the same problem. Nevertheless, my considered opinion is that the plumbing & ventilation in this hotel needs serious overhaul otherwise the prospective guests should be warned of unpleasant smell beforehand to avoid disappointment.
