It has everything we needed for the trip, including a washer and a drying rack. They also supplied umbrella we used for one of our days. There are convenient and grocery stores nearby, as well as a public bath.

The location was walkable to the main station and the cleanliness was great. The host was communicative and attentive. The apartment was cozy and met our needs.
The two towels provided were small and thin, insufficient for two grown adults for three days. They smelt by the time we left. In addition, the window was really bright and we could have used a roll down shade for the morning sun, which we have seen in other properties we have stayed at.

The homestay is comfortable for 3 people, near to Toji Station & bus stop, near to supermarket to buy groceries. The host also nice give us permission to check in early 👍🏻

We stayed at Kamon Inn Hieijocho and were really impressed by how beautifully presented it was — a lovely Japanese-style apartment that felt clean, calm, and welcoming. It had everything we needed for our stay, including great amenities. We especially appreciated having a washing machine (with detergent thoughtfully provided!) which made travelling so much easier. The location was also fantastic — not far from a train station and easy to find, making it a great base for exploring Kyoto.
We found the sleeping arrangements a little challenging. The futon beds were quite firm — it honestly felt a bit like sleeping on the floor — and the pillows had buttons in the middle which made them a little uncomfortable. The soundproofing wasn’t great either, so we could hear people in the apartment above talking and walking around, as well as cars zooming by through the night. With no blackout blinds, the car lights also lit up the room each time one passed by.
