Atauro Dive Resort Backpackers Hostel

Great place to stay, just by the sea with amazing reef nearby. Good breakfast, nice communal and rest areas, lockers and mosquito nets in the room.

No WiFi, no showers - only cold water bucket wash but this wasn’t an issue. It would be good to be able to order some food when needed instead of this same meal provided for all at 12 and 7pm only.

The best things about the Atauro Dive Resort are Fabienne and Marti! They helped us with everything and managed the whole place just fantastic. Unfortunately the Divingboat broke 2 days ago so we could not dive with Marti. So instead they arranged the diving with compass diving and again everything was just fine. We stayed in the dorm. The dorm was clean and the beds were comfortable. The food is just delicious and I highly recommend the homemade coconut icecream. The housreef starts just at the beachfront of the hotel and is worth diving/snorkeling. Massive thanks again to Fabienne and Marti for an exeptional stay!

A great place to stay with easy access to some pristine waters and diving spots ! you will enjoy great food and The best homemade ice cream prepared by the wonderful ladies in the Kitchen ! many thanks to everyone at the dive center for the short but wonderful Time spent there! Special thanks to the Dive manager who Helped me to check in early morning when arrived , to the management for understanding that I got the dates Mixed Up and of course to housekeeping staff who are doing a wonderful job keeping the place super clean ! Thank you All !

Nice breakfast and beach front area and garden.

The dorm room is very compact and small. It is.not what you see on its photo. Be prepared you will get a different room. It's ok when there's only one person, could be very packed when it's full. NO ELECTRICITY FROM.12 TO 6AM, meaning no fan it gets really hot at night bcoz small room, bad ventilation and tons of mosquitoes around.
