Gizo Lodge was clean, quiet, safe. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well-fitted out kitchen including kettle and rice cooker, nice cutlery and pots and pans. Bathroom clean and attractive. Fans and lights worked well. Wi-fi was excellent and I got lots of work done. Doors locked securely. The walk up the hill to Gizo Lodge gave me excellent views of Gizo and surrounds. Staff were polite and helpful, with security officer overnight who let me out for early morning walks.
15 minute walk to the market, not much to complain of.

The place was very very clean. 3 rooms in this big house up on a hill. Comfortable room with ceiling fan (a/c is an extra charge). Shared toilet/shower again very clean. Large kitchen with everything and spacious dining room common area. Nice small back veranda overlooking a valley of homes. Secure. A short 2 min walk away is a local shack like shop selling basic needs (not a market). The owner and staff are very nice. Great value given the few options in Gizo, I highly recommend!
It is up on a hill. I enjoyed the daily 10-15 min perfectly safe walk down to city center and then opted for a 20 SBD taxi ride back up.

The host is amazing and very welcoming. The staff are kind and always ready to help. The lodge is comfortable, very clean, and has air conditioning. The balcony is large with a beautiful view and was one of my favourite spots to relax.
The location is a bit far from the center/supermarkets & the beach & because it’s on too of a hill, you’d definitely need a taxi to go anywhere
