The owner and family were so kind and helpful. There was a microwave, and sharp vegetable knife in the kitchen. Filtered water available so less plastic bottles being thrown away Quiet location.

The property was beautiful, clean and comfortable! Our host Gungtra was wonderful he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great! A few stairs to walk up to get to the property but worth it for the beautiful view to wake up to each morning.

One of the best places to stay in Bali

This was a very beautiful place to stay. I felt incredibly comfortable here and the host was very polite, friendly and sincere. The room itself was very pleasant to stay in, tucked away from the busyness of Ubud. I felt at home here and was really able to relax after travelling around Bali.

Peaceful central stay tucked away from Ubud chaos

Beautiful and peaceful place tucked away from the chaos of Ubud. So central but you wouldn’t know it! Great accommodating host who was on hand to provide us with extra tea and sugar as we needed. Also loved that they had dairy free creamer! Oh and there is a scooter rental place opposite the property although restaurants and coffee shops in walkable distance.

- Friendly and welcoming owner (Gundra) - Smooth late-night airport transfer - Clean and well-maintained room - Cozy balcony with a table and chairs - Fridge on the balcony - 15–20 minute walk to Ubud center - Helpful with organizing transfers and carrying luggage Ubud Sky Hotel is a cozy and clean place with exceptional hospitality. We stayed in early May for four days, and the owner, Gundra, was incredibly polite and welcoming. He arranged a late-night transfer from the airport and smooth late check-in. Our driver, Agung, was very pleasant and helped us with our luggage. We stayed in a room on the second floor with a balcony. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The only thing I would mention is that the pillows were quite high, and it might take a bit of getting used to. Other than that, the room was perfect—clean shower, a fridge, and a lovely balcony setup with a table and chairs, perfect for relaxing in the evening. The hotel is located not far from the center of Ubud, about a 15–20 minute walk. The walk itself is manageable, but it’s along the edge of the road with quite a bit of traffic, so it may be more convenient to use a taxi or scooter. One important thing to note: to reach the hotel, you need to climb a rather steep staircase. If you’re traveling with large luggage, it can be challenging without assistance. Fortunately, the owner is always happy to help, but it’s worth considering when planning your stay. Overall, it’s a wonderful place, but what makes it truly special is the people who run it. Gundra’s kindness and hospitality were unforgettable. He even helped us book a late-night transfer and a ferry with such ease and warmth. Thank you so much, Gundra! We are deeply grateful for your help and hospitality. I definitely recommend Ubud Sky Hotel if you’re planning a stay in Ubud.

Peaceful with a great view

I really liked the wraparound balcony that gave me a view of the sunrises every morning. This was the best part of the stay. I would book the place for this feature, if I get the same room. Also the host was super helpful! I felt very welcomed and supported during my stay.

There was nothing I did not like. There were some temporary wifi issues, but the host fixed it quickly.

Beautiful views, lovely room

I love this place and will go back whenever possible - it's one of the best views in Ubud, and the room is lovely. If you want somewhere a tiny bit outside the centre but still only 15-20min walk away, it is a lovely getaway space. And the view is amazing - on a clear morning you can see 5 of the mountains and the sunrise, as well as the sea in the far, far distance... plus the local family running it are lovely!

There is a considerable flight of stairs to enter, but that's what gives it its great view on the ridge above town. The traffic on the road below is also quite loud, so if you want the silence of the rice-paddies it might not be for you. But I found it fine, and worth it to be able to see right across the top of Ubud!

Beautiful guest house with stunning views.

Ubud Sky is a 10 minute walk from downtown Ubud and just far enough to be away from the hustle & bustle. Situated above the road leading into town there are great views--especially if you are in the upper of the two rooms. Air Con, WiFi, and hot water all work very well and there's even a fridge for the excellent price. The room is spacious and the host is very kind and speaks excellent English if needed. What's not to like? I had a fantastic stay.

Very clean, super good location and super good service. The price to value is super high. Simple room, clean and tidy. Located atop of a few stairs, so you need to be able to walk them (with this I mean that there are no alternatives for disabled people as far as I could tell). The breakfast is also good and they provided us with gluten free alternatives for the flour so my girlfriend could have pancakes for breakfast. The breakfast is served at the terrace if your own room, very handy.

Excellent hospitality and great view from the room

Very spacious room, high ceiling, sunny with a panoramic view of Ubud which was super nice! There are actually only 2 rooms so everything is very personalised. Mr. Gungtra and his wife are always here to help and they can tell you all about Bali culture, if you want to get to know more about Balinese life, it is the perfect place! You can definitely trust Mr Gungtra to organise transport and excursion for you at a very reasonable price (i got quoted 30% more at other guesthouses for transportation to the same area). Breakfast was fantastic as you eat it at your own patio and was set up very nicely.

As Ubud is now quite a busy village, do expect traffic noise that can be heard not just at the Guesthouse but also in most part of Ubud. It takes some uphill and upstairs walking to reach the guesthouse, so make sure no heavy suitcase.

Lovely and tranquil stay...

The room is so spacious and light filled, the porch is wonderful to eat the breakfast on. There are only two rooms at this location upstairs and downstairs so very calm and private. We stayed downstairs and it was great but I'm sure the upstairs view surpassed ours. Next time we will book further ahead and reserve the upstairs! The family is great and their property is really lovely, you're right next to their temple yet in a private space. They provided us a jar of coffee and cups so we were able to have coffee anytime we liked with the hot pot! They make excellent scrambled eggs.

You walk a steep flight of 55 steps from the sidewalk to get to this wonderful place high above the streets below. It's a positive for the view and tranquility but for the elderly or handicapped it would be challenging and a bit risky.

Great last-minute choice

Gungtra gave us such a warm welcome, we had to book last minute since the accommodation we had booked had a few problems. Although the room is fairly basic, it has almost everything you need - if it had a TV and a pool, we would have considered staying longer. Breakfast was great, plenty of fresh fruit and Balinese coffee. All in all, great value for money.

The only thing I would say we didn't like was the gappy curtains, which let in a lot of sunlight in the morning

Nice homestay-like place to stay in Ubud

I was looking for a simple place to stay in Ubud to finish off the rest of my stay in Indonesia and went with Ubud Sky. What sold me on this place was the incredible views in the morning from the balcany as well as the breakfast. For breakfast, you can choose between pancakes or eggs w/toast and fruits as well as coffee and tea. Also the host of the hotel offers rides to and from the airport for a price and can take you on tours which was convenient as I was looking for something to do one day. If you're looking for a reasonably priced home stay style place, I recommend Ubud Sky. There's also supermarket, atms and restaurants nearby if you're looking to be close to those places.

Dope Ubud!

Everything was absolutely fantastic. Guntar is a legend. He even dropped me at the airport when I left. Very understanding too, allowed me to stay a half day extra so that I could feel comfortable upon leaving to the airport

Nice view

The view is beautiful, and I made a reservation because it's near the yoga studio, and I was very satisfied. Although it's a distance from Ubud city, it's a 4-minute walk to Bintang supermarket. Thanks to the kind owner and the comfortable room, I had a great time here.

Останавливались в Убуд Скай на 5 ночей, все прошло замечательно. Из плюсов: 1. Хорошее месторасположение - до кафешек 5-10 минут 2. Хорошая мебель, чистый душ 3. Приветливый хозяин, очень душевный, помог донести чемоданы (а там 70 ступенек и нет лифта) 4. Холодильник, посуда, все удобства 5. Хозяин принёс цветочки в честь нашего медового месяца, было очень приятно

1. Номер был на втором этаже, с видом на Убуд (но вид загораживала башня), красивый вид был из другого номера на втором этаже 2. Насекомые (но в целом мы ок) 3. Нет парковки, парковались возле супермаркета и иногда рядом с гостиницей (если было свободно место хозяина) 4. Нет бассейна

夜中の飛行機でバリに到着しましたが、事前にUbud Skyに格安でピックアップをお願いしておいたのでスムーズに移動できました。朝、目を覚ますと窓の外は素晴らしい風景で感動しました。ここには２つの２階建ての宿泊棟があり、１つは門の脇、もう１つはそれより少しだけ奥まったところにあり、後者はキッチン付きのようです。私たちの泊まった門の脇の建物は道路の近くなので日中はそれなりに騒音がありましたが、部屋からの風景（特に２階）や、伝統的で美しく清潔な庭は騒音という弱点を補うには充分すぎるほどです。また、宿のご主人は控えめながらもこちらの要望にはすぐに、丁寧に応じてくれます。リクエストは遠慮せずにお願いしてみるとよいです。また、流暢な英語でバリの伝統的な家屋や家族のあり方について教えていただくこともでき、旅がより深いものになりました。もしまたバリに行けるなら是非またここに泊まりたいです！衛生面・・・ルームクリーニングはリクエストに応じて行われるようで、私たちは毎日お願いしました。タオルの交換も別途リクエストに応じてなのかもしれません。トイレ、シャワーなども充分に清潔でした。虫・・・一階の部屋では夜、床に小さい虫を何匹か見つけましたが、夜間の照明を暗めにすることで予防できそうです。バリの山間部の建物としては虫は少なすぎると言ってもいいくらいだと思います。階段・・・宿の前の通りから階段をのぼります。宿のご主人はチェックイン、チェックアウトの時の荷物の運搬について毎回必ず手伝ってくれました。朝食・・・最終日だけお願いしましたが、ご主人の奥様の美味しいパンケーキとフルーツでした。心が満たされます。空港送迎・・・今回はご主人の身内のドライバーAgungさんが空港まで迎えに来てくれました。事前に連絡もくれていたので待ち合わせもスムーズで、英語で色々バリのことを教えてくれました。近隣情報・・・歩いてすぐのところにスーパーがあり、2025年8月現在は一部改修工事中でしたが、食料品は大抵なんでも揃うと思います。レストランMuruni’s Warungも徒歩圏内、川沿いの居心地よく美味しいお店で、Nasi Campurは特におすすめです。また、The Omahneka Cooking Classも近く、ここで作ったバリ料理は家族全員のBest Food in Baliになりました。徒歩圏内に色々ありますが、ちょっと遠出するにも宿のすぐ前までGrabTaxiが来てくれるので移動が本当にラクです。《注意事項》・ドライヤーあり・シャンプー、ボディソープあり・コンセントは冷蔵庫の上に２個か３個あり。洗面台にも。

前の通りの車の音は聞こえたので完全に静かな環境を望む方は少々気になるかもしれません。
