We used A cà du Baciccia as our base for exploring the Ligurian coast with our family (the grown ups, two kids, our dog), and it was amazing. Great value for money - while the house is not what one would call a luxurious accommodation, it has all you need for a very comfortable stay (comfy bedrooms, spacious living area, lots of kitchen equipment, washing machine, etc.). And you can sure tell someone who loved the place lived there before - a house with a spirit, really, feeling like borrowing a house from some very pleasant relatives. In terms of the surroundings, there are absolutely amazing views of the mountains, valley and the sea day and night. You can visit lots of super-interesting places nearby (you need a car, though, if you want to be flexible), including hiking trails right at the doorstep (mostly walked the dog there without any extensive hikes, as we simply had no time for that due to having too much fun at the coast, but would love to get back to explore those opportunities more). The drive up/down to/from the house some people apparently found a bit intimidating was no issue for us (was fun for the whole family, actually, only it's probably a good idea to be careful and respectful of the other traffic in the tighter bends); in any case, the short drive is more than a fair price for the views and tranquility up there. Last but not least, the host was super supportive, giving us lots of info on places to visit that might suit our needs and passions.
While we didn't really consider it a negative, the hot water / shower boiler has rather limited capacity, so it requires a bit of planning ahead if the whole family wants to have some excessive time in the shower. But for simply washing off the sweat and salt after a day by the sea, it was perfectly satisfactory for 4 people and a dog (she didn't like it all that much, but the boiler capacity had nothing to do with it, she's simply not a big fan of showers in general ;) ).

We really liked the location in the mountains with cold breeze and calm atmosphere. The cottage was spacious and the kitchen very well equipped. The terrace with the view was excellent for spending some time with friends in the evening.
There was not enough hot water for everyone and all the supermarkets were quite far.

The road was little bit scary.

Views were fabulous from this lofty location and the house is roomy. However we found the property to be unsuitable for our own purposes and had to re-book another stay in a different location. Matteo was kind enough to make a considerable partial refund despite his own losses we we think this is very commendable.

Beautiful house close to the nature. Private parking is available just above the house. The house has all the facilities. Around 15 minutes drive from highway and Chivari (town down the hill). The owner is very quick in responsing and provided all the informations about the house, facitilites and the places to visit nearby.
I would like to thank you again for the home made wine.
Hot water is really limited and it takes a long time to heat (around an hour). The House can be very cold in the winters. But i think it's a place to be in the summer. Would love to go back again but only during warm weather.

Nice view with clean house, the owner response very fast and allow us the late check-out
the hot water is limited, since the hill is around 14 degrees at night time and in the morning, but we cannot have good shower during the stay because there is less hot water.

Warm water gaat middels boiler, dus zuinig douchen!
