About this house rental
Enjoy this renovated 3 bedroom 2.5 bath duplex with outside shower. Very flexible checkin/out times offered in offseason! Brand new kitchen and living space with hardwood floors through out bring luxury to the beach. Granite counter tops and large farm dining table complete the functional space. The outdoor space is an added bonus with a screened in porch off the living area and large 2nd floor deck facing the street. Steps to the beach and local restaurants round out this fantastic rental. Large bedrooms with closets and dressers makes this rental property feel like home. 2 guaranteed parking spaces make unloading a breeze. Street parking available with pass or Park Mobile. Large shed and 8 backpack beach chairs added in 2021.
Outside shower and foot washing station provided to limit sand getting into home. Consciousness guests only please. Excess sand ruins pipes, sliding glass doors, carpeting, ability to clean homes efficiently in allotted time.
Owner and assistant reside within area making issues or repairs solvable within hours.

This beach house is lovely, and feels much more open than photos show. It's a wonderful location - quick walk to the beach so going back and forth is manageable, and walking distance to restaurants and stores. We enjoyed staying here with our 2 dogs for a week. Dogs are allowed on the beach in Dewey before 9:30am and after 5:30pm in the summer. You must get a dog license online, we were stopped on the beach and had to show it. The beach chairs and wagon were great to be able to use, I would suggest adding all the beach amenities to your listing because that was a nice perk! The listing instructed to bring your own towels, 'fitted sheets' and pillow cases, which we followed and had no top sheets (luckily a family member brought extras), but there are absolutely no linens in the house (but plenty quilts and blankets). So make sure you bring _all_ your sheets, bath & beach towels, and dishtowels. It would be helpful to be a little more clear in the listing so folks can come fully prepared. The king size bed was very comfortable, but the room is bright and warm early in the morning, so bring an eye mask if you like a dark room. We turned down the AC a little at night to cool the upstairs a little more. Kitchen was pretty well appointed, and had decent spices, oil, cooking spray, etc available. All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much! Hope these notes help other visitors plan their trip!

Great house for a beach trip with friends. House was clean and in a good location. Quick walk to beach and restaurants. Easy communication with host. Would definitely rent this house again!

My family stayed for one week. There was a mix up at the beginning. There was a leak in the ceiling which understandably had to be fixed. We were told that there may be painters in the house when we arrived. I appreciated the warning, but the message was written after check in time. It would have been nice to have more of a heads up. The painters didn’t cover any of the furniture and left dust all over the place. I cleaned the furniture and two floors upon arrival. The owner was apologetic and did provide a small refund for the inconvenience. Some of the doors either didn’t close all the way or were very difficult to close and secure. Although not a huge issue, it made the temperature difficult to regulate. The location was great. We had a two minute walk to the beach. It was right in downtown Dewey.
