The property had the most amazing view. It was also situated in a charming town.

The air conditioner in the bedroom made noise when left on for more than an hour.

The view is magnificent, and the overall location near, but not in, bustling Catania is very convenient. The fascinating castello is right across the street, and we found several friendly cafes nearby that served very reasonably priced and delicious food. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, the entire apartment was spotless, and the updated bathroom was spacious and furnished with large, terrycloth towels.

Although there is a functioning kitchen, it is not furnished with many glasses, plates, etc. and it would be wonderful to have an automatic coffee maker of some kind. Also, guests who are sensitive to noise should be aware that the apartment is quite noisy, both from autos and pedestrians, and from the large, loud restaurant directly below. We just beat the season, but it seems that in high season parking might be difficult to find. Nevertheless, we felt that the positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and we would stay again.

Excellent location, very good communication with owners, short walk to the castle and historical centre. Close to Catania and a good starting point to explore Etna and Taormina (both max 1 hr drive). Apartment has spectacular view from terrace, modern equipment and it’s very cozy.

We stayed in low season so parking was possible, however not directly at the apartment. In the main season I expect few minutes walk from available parking spots (and its not for free, but the price is reasonable).
