Cosi comfortable studio in a quiet location. 20 minutes drive from Cambridge. Met by Christine, who lives next door (studio has adjoining internal door - not used whilst we were there). Lots of breakfast items including eggs, beans, bread, butter, milk, orange juice, coffee, tea, biscuits, which was very generous. Lots of lovely extras, incl. shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, lotion and other toiletries and, if you forget toothbrush, etc, then these are available too Good use of small space, but would benefit from somewhere to hang coats; also another small shelf/unit at bedside to put a book, phone, glasses,etc; and a full length mirror (perhaps on the back of the wardrobe door) Arm chairs comfortable but not practical for eating at the table, perhaps lap trays would be good.The foot stool was a lovely, comfortable touch. Shower nice, although door needs attention (host already aware) Plenty of hot water for bath, which was lovely. Overall we had a lovely stay.
The only slightly disappointing thing was that was got the impression of a larger sitting area, due to photo on site showing seats and table with food items on, looking out of doors. However this photo was of the hosts summer house which is not in use and is not part of the studio. Despite this, we had sufficient space in the studio for the two days we stayed. It was very comfortable, quiet and conveniently located for our stay.
